When a girl does this, no response is going to be perfect. Cancelling can come off as butthurt, but her insisting on bringing a chaperone on your date is a no-go. I wouldn't have tolerated it either.

However - the guys who are pointing out that if she was into you she wouldn't have wanted to bring along a friend are right. Your relationship is in trouble.

I'd start by going radio silent, for about three days. No text, no facebook, no phone.

I'd say you kind of come of as a bit butthurt when you just say don't come over. Make your intentions clear and say I want to be with you alone next time. Stay no contact for now though.

First, work on not getting pissed off when she forgets she made plans with you. She can't help it. Letting yourself get angry is self-sabotage.

When she asks to bring her friend, what you should do is assume she is already hanging out with that friend and say something along the lines of 'That's fine babe, I don't want to get in the way of your girl time. You have fun with Emily, I'll grab lunch with [insert name of preferably female friend here] instead, been meaning to catch up with him/her.'

It's possible this is a shit test. You've been busy all month, so she's low-key punishing you by being 'busy' when you guys have made plans. You don't need her. You will see her later.

Your messages come off as a little bit pissy. If it was a shit test, you failed.

If you have better shit to do, just do that shit instead. Ain't no thing.
