Very few people can be arrogant without being fake or a try hard. I'd rather have a calm demeanor.

I'm overtly arrogant. A lot of times I respond to compliments with more compliments to myself or saying, "I know." I always speak highly of myself, but it's natural for me because I know how much effort I put in being the man I am and crafting my life. I would imagine that there are some people who are insecure who are arrogant to compensate. The girl might be shit testing you when she said it's a sign of insecurity to pretty much see if it's genuine or she might not see why you are arrogant. At the end of the day if it's natural it's natural some girls will like it some wont. I personally haven't encountered a girl who didn't like it; a lot of them laugh, are impressed by it, or get "annoyed" by it (She rolls her eyes but is still smiling and of course continues conversation with me). But maybe I'm not as overtly arrogant as I think.

most of the time it works well. the key is having the level of arrogance visible match the level of value visible and to be cheery, not an asshole, about it

LYING, pathetic lying, is a sign of insecurity. Arrogance far above and beyond the visible, or provable, value of a man is perceived as lying. Women say arrogance is the problem but they really mean being low value is the problem
