There is a tendency around here to conflate "beta" with "bad."

We hammer against "beta-provider" tendencies around here because contemporary western culture raises young men to deny masculinity.

Woman ALWAYS wants the BEST man she feels she can attract. But she also wants to feel like he's going to stick around and help her raise the cubs she's going to get from him.

So yes - providing SOME beta qualities is vital to sustaining an LTR.

But "beta" is the seasoning. Alpha is the meat.

Going full alpha mode will only get you laid and a plate or two.

Try that in an LTR? No, you'll just be called a dick after a year or so.

What women WANT from the alpha tree is - security, leadership, a captain, a provider, and a man who constantly attempts to better himself.

What a woman WANTS from the beta tree - caring, emotionally available (not tampon, but not as cold as marble either) loyalty, and commitment.

What she does NOT want from the alpha tree - a douchebag, a guy who sleeps around/insists on having plates even if they are married, a guy who berates her once she hits 30, a huge flirt that makes her seem invisible, etc. Basically all PUA stuff has to go.

What she does NOT want from beta - weak, no spine, feminine, not a captain, gets really fat, never challenges her, lets her walk all over him, obsesses over her (shows lack of his own identity, which leaders have)

To have a successful relationship resembling LTR of any form, let's be honest. Does any chick want to be with a cold-hearted guy that never asks how she is doing, that never helps her, that makes her seem insignificant, and makes her feel replaceable? (Dread game still applies, but it's different from - "bitch I'll have another hoe on my dick by the end of the night if you don't grab me a beer"...and actually mean it)

Women, at the end of the day, want a provider. Providers lead. They also provide protection. A woman is weak at her knees if she is with a man that she feels like would protect her - ie, show actual care for her happiness and well-being. It's when a man obsesses over it to an unhealthy point that she is turned off. Same with when a chick is obsessed over a man.

Being a PUA means giving off this rugged, uncaring man, because women like the challenge of breaking that shell and being the one thing he cares about. It's validation. It will totally get you laid, but if you never let that down then she will get annoyed and leave.

Definitely you need some provider traits, if you go full alpha dark triad mode on your LTR, you will fuck up, I guarantee. I discovered trp while in a good relationship, anger fase came in, treated her like garbage, she was really submissive, but nether of us was really happy as before. You need to calibrate, be less intense, laugh more, do some shit for her sometimes. Be the father, loving protection with limits(reinforce good behavior and cut out bad one) .

Well yes, sometimes you need to go beta for comfort and that sort of stuff, you cannot be always cold and non responsive, women want to LTR the alpha with "feelings" and shit.
