Was seeing a plate for around 6 months. During which I received letters, food, affection, the works. At some point I agreed to enter into an exclusive LTR, A week after she confessed "wanting to be with me".

Everything is still the same so far but i'm wondering if I've shot myself in the foot and am slowly bleeding out? My impression from this site is that they are easiest to manage and most invested when they are plates only. Is my understanding lacking or should i attempt a demotion?

btw, I still see her once a week, rarely text and have not actually changed anything about how i handle her. Haven't even told family or friends we're together yet. Again, still on her best behavior but i'd prefer it stayed that way.
