I feel it would help some of the people who think TRP is too extreme to think twice after we acknowledge that RPillers CAN go too far. I'm sure that it would, but that's not something that we want. TRP, as a reactionary movement, must be extreme. Our members must be allowed to go too far, because there's nowhere else they can do so. Even just saying something as simple as "hey guys, take it easy" could be counterproductive to that goal. Much better, I think, to pass that message "in the trenches…

Outstanding post. This, in particular Bear in mind that there is a difference between morally judging a rape victim and being ready to deal with that. Not being ready to play therapist in an LTR does not mean you are blaming her. Hadn't been said yet. Glad you swung by.

I'm hesitant to categorize it as part of a "phase," because there are some fairly senior posters who still feel this way (completely swear off marriage, don't trust women, etc.), and to suggest that I'm just "at the next level" wouldn't be fair to them. I'm not any wiser than /u/MattyAnon, we just feel a little differently about this. Call it a personality difference, maybe. That said, I have noticed that new people who are just learning how to take women off of the pedestal usually swing too fa…

If she's legal in your state, who cares? I do want to point out that if you've been thinking about some chick you made out with at a high school dance, like, two years ago, that's a very bad sign.

I think it's the latter, but I'll have to see. The fact that it caught me so much by surprise suggests it's the latter. Based on what you've written, I would tend to agree. Like anything, keep a wary eye, but go with your gut. If things just aren't adding up, pay attention to that.

If I recall correctly you're very young. You also make a lot of black and white statements which betray your lack of experience. When you're older, I suspect that you'll realize that women are people just like you. Some of them are bad people, but some of them are good, loyal, honest. As such, it's good to be wary, but it's counterproductive to launch witch hunts, assuming that every woman is just waiting for the right moment to fuck you over.
/r/askTRP05/05/16 03:29 AM

It's not an official TRP term. In this case, it constitutes arguing with OP about why (not if, but why) his girlfriend is going to fuck him over and delving into issues which OP hasn't asked about. Caution is a very good attribute to have, particularly when it comes to vetting a woman for a relationship, but at a certain point it's just witch-hunting, looking for flaws which one is sure must be there.

I do want a bigger car, bigger house etc. Not sure. The problem is that materially-oriented goals are a) a moving target (there's always something bigger, nicer, more expensive) and b) not truly fulfilling. 2,000 years ago the Stoics were writing about how man shouldn't chase material possessions. In the present day, we call it the hedonic treadmill. You need a mission, not just to keep accumulating stuff. There are many different paths you can take, depending on your personality. Family. You seem pretty grounded. She had taken molly Red flag, of course. You've got to trust your gut. Yours is telling you that she's trustworthy, so go with it. The biggest thing I would look for, with regard to the rape, is whether she regards it as "who I am" or "something that happened to me." The latter is much healthier.

If there was something wrong, it mysteriously cleared up just long enough for this girl to get OP back into a relationship with her. How curious. It's coming across to me that you're only really bothered about the sex. Are you a woman? I'm assuming that a man would understand why OP is "only" bothered about the sex.

so isn't it sales when you make the customer buy a 100$ wine instead of a 40$ wine with their food? Not really. That won't get you anywhere in a real sales job. There is one sales job I know of that pays 11$/hr + commission at a shoe store Getting into B2B (business to business) sales would be much, much better. There's far more room for advancement and a much more upwardly mobile career ladder. If you want to do B2C (consumer), sell cars or houses, not shoes.

While your advice is correct, there's not a realistic expectation of punishment here. Saying "It's going to cost you. Meet me Sunday, same time." in the context that OP did is pretty standard banter. If he were to actually levy some kind of punishment, it would be fucking weird. My husband either regards the posts I show him as hilarious ramblings from losers or common sense advice. Most men know this stuff to varying degrees and have never descended into rage over it. Makes sense. In many (most?) cases, men reading TRP have either just hit rock bottom or never left it. If you do well with women, you aren't going to be on reddit searching for tips on how to talk to girls, you know? This isn't to say that men on TRP should be scorned, of course.

All of this is incorrect. You're conflating your personal morality and/or things you like with "alpha" and everything else with "beta."
/r/askTRP29/04/16 12:48 PM
7

I would even go as far as to consider it a beta behaviour since you cannot be honest about what you want in life and you have to lie to get your way. Hear me now. Alpha is not the same thing as good and beta is not the same thing as bad. Moral judgements have zero bearing on whether a behavior is alpha or beta. You are confusing "good man" (moral judgment) and "good at being a man" (alpha/beta).

There's nothing wrong with wanting children, as long as you go into it with both eyes open. I myself fully intend to have children, which means that I also intend to get married. Again, there's nothing inherently wrong about this as long as one recognizes that it is risky.

Perhaps a man's dominance threshold is best viewed as his desire for the woman's dominance towards everybody else? I think it's pretty universal that men want women to be less dominant than they themselves are within the confines of the relationship, but different men will have different thresholds for how dominant they want their partner to behave towards others.

I read a thread on here earlier today that was advocating text game and I was like okay i got this Text game is fine, but it's really tricky, which is why it's not normally advocated. A tip you might be interested in is to add something containing sodium citrate as an emulsifying agent to your cheese sauce. Cheddar cheese tends to melt weirdly because the proteins break apart and recombine and the fat separates out and does its own thing. An emulsifier will give your cheese sauce a smoother/less "grainy" texture -- incorporating one was a game-changer for my own mac and cheese. In this case, I recommend straight talking. Pregnancy is such a serious issue that you can't afford to mess around with manipulation to find out what you need to know. Just ask her. H: "I think I might be pregnant" Y: "Is it mine?" Anything less than an "of course it is!" means she hasn't been exclusive. Speaking in broader terms, your first priority is to establish whether or not she's actually pregnant. If she is, you need to start putting together a plan. (Is she planning to keep it? Paternit…

This one can be tough. Long-term relationships are like RP on hard mode. A successful LTR requires a balance of alpha (sexually attractive) and beta (good provider) behaviors. On the whole, taking care of your girlfriend and doing nice things for her are very good things, and necessary for most relationships to function. However, you don't want to cross the line into boring doormat territory. A few things to evaluate and keep in mind to ensure you remain attractive: Do not sacrifice your hobbies…

As long as you can get (and keep) your pan hot, a cast iron is not necessary. Cooking is all about heat transfer. A cast iron pan, (aka a big hunk of metal) acts as a really good heat repository, meaning that once it gets hot, it stays hot, which is an advantage for cooking something like a steak which will cool the pan as heat is transferred from the hot pan to the room-temp meat. However, cast iron will take a very long time to heat up compared to a copper or anodized aluminum pan.

I'm going to ask you a question that might hurt your feelings a bit, but is something you should consider. If you've already slept with another man (men?), what is fair about expecting a new guy to wait until marriage? I think it's more like AHALT... All humans are like that. Women have their own nature, but it's not a handful of terrible qualities that men are exempt from. Basically, he's talking about biology. The most successful sexual strategy for a man would be to have many different children with many different women, avoiding commitment with any of them, because: he is not responsible for bearing children he can father many children at one time, whereas a woman spends 9 months being pregnant before she can conceive again He does not have to expend resources on childcare (children are physically dependent on the mother, not so for the father) The most success…

We're on the same page. If one is trying to communicate the concept of "don't be a codependent partner," there is a negative way and a positive way to express that concept. "Have a life outside your marriage" would be the negative way to express that concept, for the reasons you mentioned (to wit, it fundamentally requires people to think of relationships/marriages as limiting and constraining). EDIT: actually with regards to "Team Women" mentality, if it is biological, i find it hard to believe it is a negative evolutionary trait. Surely if women evolved to have "Team Women" mindset, (if indeed it is evolved) then there must be a good reason for it, for example better odds for survival A trait adaptive for reproductive success on the savannah can be "bad" in civilized society.

If its evolutionary, why is it wrong/bad? Its clearly there because mankind needs it to survive. You're thinking in terms that are far too black and white, as well as making the mistake of believing that evolution only produces "good" things.

Rule of thumb I live by, if you can't lift as heavy your next workout, then you did too much. This is a good rule for beginners, but the best way to define an intermediate trainee is "needs more than one workout to recover." In more technical terms, an intermediate trainee is somebody who periodizes his program weekly, rather than daily. Example intermediate programs would be The Texas Method, 5/3/1, etc.

At the core, this is because the dude on the bus is harmless, while thugs who actually oppress women pose a real threat. /r/askTRP17/01/16 04:48 PM

First, understand that telling you about life problems is typically because the girl is seeking comfort from you. Comfort is a "beta" (note that this is not automatically a bad thing) behavior, a key component of long-term relationships. Now that we understand that this is a girl seeking comfort, you have a couple of options, and what you choose will depend on what this girl is to you. N.B. I used to workout in my free time but it was taking up all my time having a full time job + working out + making my meals and draining my happiness in the process. You will never again have as much free time as you do now. People get more busy as they age, not less. Learn how to prioritize now, or suffer the consequences.

Agreed. Among men, respect is earned, not freely given. Respect, at the core, is shown to men who demonstrate the masculine qualities of mastery, honor, strength, courage. Holding women to the same terms isn't misogynistic, it's equality.

In a nutshell, the same qualities that women are attracted to (aloofness, confidence, drive, the interest of other women) will also drive women off the fucking rails if left completely unchecked. She'll get into her own head too much. In a long term relationship, it's necessary to occasionally demonstrate commitment, caring, and/or "comfort" to the girl.

The short answer is that committing to an opinion puts you at risk of being opposed to the group. Easy example: if you say "I am conservative," you're at risk that the group you're in might be mostly liberal. Women evolved such that social standing in a group is everything. This is why women powertalk and why they tend to avoid taking fixed positions on things, particularly things which don't have an obvious answer.

but the policies are much, much more important than any of that machismo drama. I actually disagree. Like a CEO, the influence of a president is primarily in the hiring decisions he makes and in the way he runs his cabinet, joint chiefs, etc. Not in the individual policies he supports. Take any wildly successful president - Lincoln, FDR, Washington often occupy the "top 3" billet. Would any of them be revered the way they are if the policies were the same, but the leadership wasn't present?

You are what you bring to the table. A man is the sum of his actions. "Who you are on the inside" is trite bullshit that doesn't matter. You can be a hero on the inside all you want, but it won't stop you from getting your ass kicked. You can be a rich man on the inside, but that won't keep you off the street.

However, if you ever do try another LTR after TRP, you'll find it's actually hard to stay 100% alpha all the time. You're going to have your beta days... aka, your 'off' days. You're making the same mistake that I alluded to in my first post. Beta is not necessarily bad. Alpha is not necessarily good. They are different types of traits. Alpha : cad :: beta : dad Alpha : protector :: beta : provider Alpha : disregard/dread :: beta : comfort and so on. Every person is a mix of these types of trait…

I have this insecurity that people don't want to talk to me and ignore my calls. Listen, this is on you. A very good friend of mine is terrible at responding to my text messages. hypergamic process: party years with alpha fuks, followed by epiphany/the wall/settle down with a beta bucks The "hypergamic process" is not a thing. Go read the sidebar until you understand what hypergamy is. Once you do, you'll understand how "settling" doesn't apply in any way, shape, or form to hypergamy. It's a process that takes years. Basically you need to become self-reliant, so that your opinion of yourself depends much less on what other people think of you. I am not sure how that's accomplished, exactly.

I don't get people complaining about censorship because at the end of the day it's their space to do as they see fit, just like the red pill network is. I agree. And I've noticed that, overwhelmingly, the people who get banned are those who: 1) Use jargon like "alpha," "beta," "cock carousel" (if the poster in question is particularly socially stunted) 2) Spew boilerplate that makes people suspicious and/or mention a TRP-network subreddit by name

There are many ways to phrase the concept, but the idea that people are trying to communicate is roughly that men love women primarily for the qualities they have (innocence, beauty, femininity) and women love men primarily for what they do (provide, protect, lead). None of that means that a man's love or a woman's love is somehow less legitimate, just that they are different.

That will also backfire. A couple of things to consider: How does the average person react to TRP? How well do most men take advice on self-improvement? How well do you think the average man will handle being shown TRP and implicitly told "you should be more like this?" I'm sure you've seen people on TRP talking about how it's a bad idea to show other people this material. Well, that goes a hundredfold for women showing men the material.

1) snooping on his computer is a big deal and you should reconsider being so nonchalant about it. 2) Many men in this era have grown up being told that their sexual desires wrong and shameful, and that pornography is bad. As such, being asked "do you watch porn?" feels like an attack or accusation. Bottom line: don't necessarily believe that.

The reason I think that it has to do with Asperger's is that I don't feel any emotional hurt or jealousy about it. A word of caution. Many, many people on the spectrum believe that they don't feel emotion, or that the emotional response is somehow blunted. In reality, the opposite is true -- one of the symptoms characteristic of autism is being overwhelmed by emotion. You may have rationalized this so that you don't feel any hurt over the idea of it, but be careful what you wish for.

This is my mentality: I'm either your girlfriend or I'm not. I'm either attracted to you or I'm not (1 vs 0). There's no in between in any of that. And as a RPW, this is right and good. A high-value man, however -- one with options -- does not think like this. He's likely been involved with many women, and he will have several women he can pursue at any given time. He will be attracted to all of them. If you want him to give that up, you will need to earn your place as a girlfriend.

She will never come out and say it in those words, as that would preclude you from being dominant, if that makes sense. Whatever you're doing right now, step it up. Occasionally deny her orgasm. Punish her if she does anyway. Etc. With a girl like this, you will probably find it difficult to be too dominant.

Eat one gram per pound of body weight in the leanest protein you can possibly get, half a cup of vegetables, a multivitamin, and nothing else. It's like you've heard of a PSMF, but instead of actually reading the books and figuring out how to do it, you just said "fuck it" and decided to eat nothing but chicken breasts. OP, you need to eat fat.

It reduces your fat, not your muscle mass. It will reduce both. Hopefully it reduces body fat more. Lifting burns fat. Rarely. The predominant energy source for weightlifting is carbohydrate. Cut back on your carbs to really liquefy your fat stores and get a toned look. Can have a small effect, but for the most part it's calories in vs. calories out. Keep your protein intake high. This, at least, is a good idea. Especially while cutting.

I would suggest that rather than say "hey, we should go out sometime" (or whatever it is you're doing that's prompting this question), you should lead with an activity -- e.g. "Let's go rock climbing at the new bouldering gym. How does 6 on Sunday catch you?"

I don't think partner count causes relationship instability. I think that, like many things, it can be a factor, but isn't always a factor. It's something to be aware of and keep an eye on, but it's hardly the automatic dealbreaker that many on here find it to be.

I have a very hard time not calling out people when they're being stupid. You need a paradigm shift. Rationality and stoicism are admirable attributes for men, not women. Lots of good advice in this thread and you should listen to it. I also wanted to throw this out there: Picking up a girl in the line of a club is very different than, say, talking to a girl sitting at a table in a coffeeshop. Girls waiting in line for a club don't want to talk about where they're from or anything else boring like that. You have about 3 seconds to catch their interest.

But you had to game the girl in the first place, right? And occasionally she texts you to see how you're doing? Even with the least-committed woman, there's still a certain amount of effort that goes into maintaining the relationship, yes? All of that takes time and effort. Not very. Girls aren't retarded, they know when you're trying to get with them. Now, people say to make your intentions clear. How do you do that? You can be indirect: "come over and help me bake this lasagna, I have a bottle of wine open", but you can't pussyfoot around: "so, do you want to do something sometime?" Occasionally you can literally be as bold as to look a girl in the eyes and tell her you're going to fuck her later, but that's extremely situational. Read the room.

You performed a small social nicety -- I hesitate to even call it a favor -- and got mad because you didn't feel appreciated. That is completely different than people getting in your way at the supermarket. Regardless, if somebody's in your way, just say "excuse me."

Even though you can't, ask if you can come along. At this stage in their interaction, that would come across as incredibly needy. The best way to preclude cheating is for a girl to be so infatuated with you that she doesn't even notice other guys.

♂ Nailed it. When a girl from Tinder agrees to go out with you, you are 95% of the way there. The "date" is a formality, it's a meeting in public to make sure you didn't lie too much about your height and aren't a serial killer. She doesn't want to hear about your fucking family.

Does it really matter, even if I gave her several orgasms? Please, be as honest and direct as possible. Of course it matters. Anybody who says differently is lying. Don't let that dissuade you, though. You can't change it, so that gives you two choices: 1) Let it destroy you. 2) Thrive in spite of it.

The cute girls I go out with Too try-hard. If you change it to "girls love these bitches" it would be a lot better, but still not great. You're being far too explicit. Understatement -- not overstatement -- is the way to get people interested. E.g.: Wow, you must have a ton of girls chasing after you... Bad: "Fuck yeah I do." Good: "One or two." ;)

We only have OP's side of the story. He interacts with a woman and she gets so annoyed that she's shooting him dirty glances later, and your first thought is "it's because she used to be pretty and she's annoyed that he didn't cave for her?" That might be an explanation, yes, but are you familiar with Occam's razor? Far more likely that OP was a dick in some way than that he was perfectly reasonable and nice and she got mad "just because."

I could be wrong, but the "elite" vs. "non-elite" is kind of set in stone as far as they see it. You're projecting. Nobody has any idea what kind of man you are until you show them. You're in the anger phase, and that's fine. However, I would urge you to remember that people, on the whole, are decent. Women are not consciously manipulating you. Is that an invalid TRP goal? No, absolutely not. But you need to create a new paradigm. You're not trying to "LTR asap," you're testing a series of women to see if they're good enough to potentially be the mother of your children. And if none of them are, you will continue to do your own thing. Do you understand the difference?

Nah, it depends on whether her father figure had a good mix of provider traits or was all hard-ass authoritarian, all the time. I am not planning on having kids for a while; when I do, my answer will be contingent on societal expectations. Currently, it is my belief that family stability is best served by traditional marriage. When my children are of marrying age, that may well not be the case.

No, of course I've seen it. I just disagree. Lots and lots of anger in the main sub -- which is fine -- but that hasn't been my experience. I have, throughout my life, had pleasant, successful interactions with women. As have, I suspect, most of the posters who really "get it." Not that I would presume to include myself in that group, because my views don't always agree with the TRP hardline. Anyway, the point is: strong, patriarchal, "RP" men are not necessarily opposed to marriage.

The elites want to stay on top. They must make sure that the middle class gets poor and that the poor stay poor. They do this to control the masses. They control the masses through 2 ways. I'm not sure this is the case. I might accept the argument that, by dint of being wealthy, the rich tend to pursue actions which have the net effect of reinforcing the wage gap. However, to state that the rich are actively trying to "control the masses" borders on paranoia, in my opinion.

You mention you've read enough to have a business degree. That drive is good -- stick with it. It will get you far in life. However, college is not about learning. It's about making connections.

So what if she just started? OP's values include no drug use. She used drugs. He's not all pissy about it, but actions have consequences. In this case, the relationship is over.

It's a strange duality, yes. I can tell you right now that out of the several men who comprise my closest friend group, two (that I know of) have cheated on their girlfriends. You ask how I can still be assured of their loyalty, which is a good question. What it eventually comes down to is that the man-man relationship is different (and, in some ways, more sacred) than the man-woman relationship. It's just a gut feeling.

Again, you have that backwards, and it stuns me how cavalier you are regarding drugs which change brain chemistry. Mild to moderate depression can often be treated with diet, exercise, sunlight, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Occasionally a drug is used to "kick-start" the process, and allow enough motivation to do the other things. Severe depression is usually nonresponsive to therapy/lighter methods, and is when drugs must become involved.

For guys, this is decent advice. For OP, a female, it's bad. Yes, people will judge her by the company she keeps. If she is looking to find a high-value man, she will not want to be associated with a floozy.

I suggest you post this to /r/redpillwomen, because you've gotten shit advice so far. The people who told you to keep the friend are thinking about it from a male perspective, where you don't bail on a friend who is loyal to you, regardless of their behavior. However, you're a girl. People will judge you based on the company you keep -- around here, you will see people evaluating girls for relationship potential based on what their friend group is like. If you don't want people to assume you're …

Don't feel too bad, man. You basically were thrown into the middle of one of the hardest situations to deal with. Were it to happen again, respond just like you would to a dude busting your balls. Your responses don't have to be perfect! All you need to do is demonstrate that you're secure in yourself and can give shit back. "Are you sure you're not gay?" "Well... Yes, I do. This isn't some kind of celebration of masculinity. It's poking fun at women. We, as a gender, should be able to raise ourselves up -- and be proud of who we are -- by reveling in our strengths, not by laughing at women's weaknesses. And it's the tone that makes all the difference. And shaming, V, seems like a bit much. However, I will consider what you said. Sometimes I forget that many (most) of our posters are still trying to figure the being a man thing out.

Oftentimes when a young girl (especially teenaged) goes in for an older guy, it's because she's looking for maturity and emotional stability. She's looking for a man. You need to keep context in mind. If the dude just goes up to people and drops the A blood type line, you're right, it probably wouldn't be very funny. When that line comes immediately after somebody's giving him shit for his race, it shows he doesn't care and that he can laugh it off. It becomes much more clever.

There's no balance sheet. You need to decide based on what your gut is telling you -- we can't reduce this chick down to a list of pros and cons and make a logical decision. For example, the rape thing is a massive red flag -- but some girls do get over it, so who knows? You've got to pick based on how you feel.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. Women should not be blamed for the behavior I mentioned above. Just like men are biologically attracted to physical markers like breasts and hips, women are biologically attracted to things like confidence and power.
