To start with, I would like to state that I acknowledge that this is a minor issue; but thing like this can snowball, and untreated cracks to your reputation can cause it to shatter further down the line.
Context
I am a student in a UK school, and since learning of the pill have been using it to improve my attitude towards hard work, relationships, and my overall general mindset; to the point where I am now well respected member in my college, having been placed in a senior position, and well known for my good grades and frame of 'well behaved, but no bullshit '
During the Christmas holidays, I decided that I will begin to put my A2 exams as my main focus, using monk mode to reduce my social interactions and use the time for revision. When I returned after winter break, I found a corner in the common room of my college, that is normally unoccupied and claimed it as my base of operations. This was not verbal, but as a kid as extroverted as I am, it was quickly noticed that I was rarely ever not in this spot during class times.
For the first week I was ridiculed for it and called a loner; but after a week of Agree & Amplify, this stopped. The second and third week was a series of instances of girls that i used to talk to coming to find me and try to start conversation or pull me away from this spot, so that they have my full attention. They were calmly told that this would not be the case. So that you can understand the amount of work that I was able to do while in my area: In just the free time of 15 mins a day, I manage to read a 4000 page novel on Mongolian history.
A problem came up yesterday when I got to my area to get my things for lunch, as there was a girl sitting there, drinking a cup of tea and just generally relaxing. The conversation that followed went like this (G=Girl M=Me):
G: You always sit here M: That is true. G: I can see why, Its nice. M: Thanks. G: If you want me to get up, just let me know when.
I was leaving anyway, so just ignored the attempt for conversation and left; but when I went back after-school, she was still there, 2 hours later, and her little sister had turned up as well. She sees me looking at her, and not wanting to give her the argument she so desperately wanted, I went home.
Today, I go to sit there again; and now one her friends are sitting there, and after again reminding me how good of spot it is, says 'There's room for two!'
I sit down.
She then links arms with me.
My friends start to laugh, and I ignore them, reading on my phone.
When my phone dies, I go to connect it on the charger, but when i get back, original girl has taken my chair, and they both now have cups of coffee, and a quilt between them. Me, being pissed off as i am, decide to not engage these girls and go to the opposing corner and continue to read. I realized only then that I should have again agreed and amplified and continued to sit with them, but failed the shit-test. To little too late.
Due to my college recently downsizing, there is really nowhere else for me to sit (it is quite crowded) and on top of that, all of the college staff are women, so if I do anything to serious to get them out of the space, I will be the one reprimanded, as they just play the victim card.
Question In my mind the spot is already gone, but does AskTRP think the same? What are the best steps to take from now; as I believe anger is clouding my judgement.
TL;DR, Created haven in college common room in which I can maintain distance during monk mode, girls have hijacked place, failed multiple shit tests. What next?
