I don't think so. The way I've been trying to do it is by listening to a song for say 2 weeks straight. Get good sleep then go silent and try to recreate the sound with my guitar mainly focusing on the melody. Granted it's a lot of guess work right now for me. But after playing a lot of the minor pentatonic scales (all 5 shapes), I've sort of gotten a good idea of where the next note should be, like in terms of higher or lower and I will just guess in a nearby area until I get it right or close.
