I've noticed there are certain people who aren't particularly funny, or don't say anything objectively interesting yet they have the attention of everyone in the room, and seem to be able to make people laugh and gravitate towards them.

I feel like I used to have a lot of charisma, before I became clinically depressed but I never really thought about it until recently when I started trying to mingle with people again after a long time of isolation. I realised my jokes weren't hitting off right, awkward silences here and there, and even the most inane shit just came out of my mouth without conviction. Compare that to a dude who visits this house regularly, he doesn't strike me as a smart dude, and he's actually quite annoying, yet everyone seems to gravitate towards him and laugh at his basic sense of humour.

I know I sound bitter as fuck, it's because I am. I'm not proud. I want to overcome it and learn, and I want to understand it.
