The obvious answer is yes, duh. I get that monk mode is about learning to prioritize my own well being. This is a close friend who is often eager to see me. Nonetheless, I am in an orbiter position. And I am willing to stand up for myself even if it means losing this friend in the long term, something my hamster tells me not to do but which I know is not helping me.
I just want to hear some of the lines of emotional-logical reasonings for why putting our short term relationship on hold is for the best of both of us in the long term.
Edit. Also, what is happening when I begin to enter monk mode of my own volition, while without communicating any part of it to my friend, she is eager to see me/spend time with me, but nonetheless is pushing me away? Is she helping me stay true to monk mode?
