I don't think you'll immediately be put in the strictly beta category, but committing by definition isn't "alpha", so you'll undoubtedly lose some alpha points.

Truth is you usually can't have a successful relationship and be full alpha, because any pure alpha would just grab a bunch of side hoes and eventually leave. It's a balance between red and blue in a relationship, and you have to decide if it's worth it.

You definitely fall down a peg in their eyes when you commit. You just need to re-enforce the fact that you're not a bitch and if she says stuff or tries doing things you don't like then call her out on it.

Ever asked yourself why do you want to commit?

When you commit you give up your right to bang other chicks and you damage your ability to leave a bit, because leaving becomes permanent and a bit painful because of the "loss of emotional investment".
She notices and learns that she can cash on the second one immediately, she can put less effort on you just as long as she doesn't make breaking up a better option and bear in mind, the world will shame you into believing breaking up is a worst option than it seems.
If she doesn't learn the first one quickly enough, she'll learn it if you try to invest less: She can get you to invest by restricting your access to sex and gratification.

When you commit, realistically speaking, you only gain her sexual exclusivity. In theory you would get some emotional support too but here we know it doesn't quite work like that. If you ask me, it's a pretty bad deal, paying for her exclusivity with yours, along with a tonne of effort.
She gains a lot of power, is released from some burdens, and gets the emotional support. And just gives up fucking around, which is something she probably has done naturally if you were the best guy she could afford to bang. Great deal for her.

If you don't induce her to work hard to earn it, yes.

EDIT: LTRs are TRP on hard mode, mainly because you have to screen women very carefully, be vigilant and the risk of boredom and loss of attraction is high.

it all depends on the strength of your frame. If she thinks that it's happening because she wants it, and not solely at your discretion and planning, the "polyanna creep" starts setting in.

This is a fundamental TRP truth, and it's a bitter pill to swallow. If you commit to one woman (sexual exclusivity) you are BY DEFINITION following a beta mating strategy.

It takes a few weeks if you're unlucky and 3-5 years AT THE MOST, but eventually she'll see you as beta, because fundamentally you are literally BEING BETA.

You might not be weak. You might be the most tough alpha man in the whole fucking god damned world. But you're following a beta sexual strategy by being exclusive with her.

It depends. Let's say u commit, but u still hang out in places surrounded by tons of women who clearly likes u. She wont see u as beta unless u act like one.

Unfortunately, most of the users in this subreddit, who are virgins or very inexperienced with MGTOW and PUA toxic mentality, will tell you something along the lines of "no, BRUH! commitment is for pussies! just be alfazfuk, lift weights, get jack3d, and slay as much pussy as possible!" That's nice and all, and in a perfect world I'm sure most guys would opt for that lifestyle, but in reality, that lifestyle requires a lot of energy, money, and free time.

If you read "Redpill" literature like POOK, rational male, and Roissy all recommend the following:

Don't commit to her before having sex

Don't be the one pushing for commitment (she should do that)
screen for redfalgs before you commit *After commitment for a while, don't act "boyfriendy", make it gradual and make HER do the work. Don't say ILY first, minimize PDA as much as possible, don't introduce her as your GF, invoke dread, and keep her out of many areas of your life for as long as possible.

If you're the one PUSHING the commitment and the relationship rituals, then you will be perceived as beta and vice versa.
