I had an interesting situation over the last weekend. I was supposed to meet my long time girlfriend on Friday after work to go to dinner. Due to circumstances outside my control, I didn't meet her until hours after she expected me to be there. When I got there she started with the shit tests one after another for the next hour or so. I proceeded to either ignore them or change the subject and acted like they weren't phasing me. After a while she calmed the fuck down, we had dinner went back to her place and fucked.

Next morning, she was getting ready to go to work a double shift. She started getting ready, I was sleeping and by the time I got up she was pissed again complaining about me not getting coffee for both of us like usual and bla bla bla usual shit. Then she started to bring up the shit from the night before. At that point, I told her I had to go and do some work and left. Then I proceeded to not communicate with her for the rest of the day. Not a peep. That night after her double shift I was supposed to meet her at her place again but I never showed up. Truth is I fell asleep and honestly after the bullshit from earlier and the night before I wasn't really motivated anyways. Maybe it was a subconscious thing, who knows? Anyways, she gets off of work and apparently she goes into full meltdown mode. Apparently she called me and texted me a dozen times left voicemails et. wondering where I was. She started crying and all that shit. I'm telling you full meltdown. I found all that shit out the next morning after reading the texts and listening to the voicemails. I waited until she called me that morning. I answered the phone like nothing had happenned and she went into asking me why I didn't show up, why I didn't call bla bla bla. I told her I fell asleep and that was it. I never apologized. She accused me of doing it on purpose and then she asked me why didn't I text her during the time she was working to check in with her if I indeed I wasn't ignoring her on purpose. I just old her I was busy and that was it. Anyways, I met her at her place that day and we fucked and went to lunch and then fucked again.

Still to this day thinks I should had apologized to her for doing what I did to which I either ignore it or tell her there is nothing for me to apologize.

Is there anything in this situation I could had done better? I'm a little new to this whole TRP thing so any useful input would be appreciated.
