Backstory: Dating this girl for almost 4 years now. I know relationships are TRP on hard-mode but it's what I prefer. She comes from a good (religious) family, low N count, likes to spend her time at home reading, and hates partying / clubbing. We're both 23.
My work schedule usually allows me to meet up with friends on weekends once or twice a month - we usually hit up a few parties and barhop like we used to in college. Girlfriend usually stays at home as it's not her scene and in the ~4 years of us dating hasn't complained once. Usually picks me up at 3am and drives me to get food.
With the Holidays things have been pretty crazy. Lots of family events, lots of travelling, not so much time together. Friday night I went out from about 8pm - 3am. Yesterday we spent the day at another family event, came home, fucked, and when I told her I'm heading out for the night she got sad. Cried a little bit, said how she misses me and just wants to spend some 1-on-1 time with me during the holidays but hasn't gotten to, etc. I had plans to hit up another party with the same group of friends as Friday night but ended up staying in to comfort her. Spent the night drinking wine and fucking.
I'm not sure if I failed a shit test or passed a comfort test. Like I said in the ~4 years of us dating she's never discouraged me from going out to have a good time. This was definitely a one-off with her so I treated it as a comfort test. Can I get some opinions on if I did the right thing?
