So here's how life works as an older-ish guy:

Starting in your late 20s/early 30s, your buddies girlfriends and wives will try to start setting you up with their friends. Usually it plays out like this - a friend of the buddy's wife or gf gets dumped or figures out that her loser, ski bum boyfriend is always going to be a loser, no matter how much she lets him fuck her in the ass, and now that she's wasted her youth and beauty drinking, smoking and riding a mile of cock, it's time to dismount the cock carousel

This is called the "Epiphany Phase".

So she complains to your buddy's wife or girlfriend about how "There are no good men!" which really means, "There are no men left who I am am attracted to, who will put up with my decreasing attractiveness and increasing demands."

Your buddy's wife or girlfriend turns to your buddy and says "Who do we know?" and - VOILA! - suddenly you are going on a date with some woman you don't even know. Why? Because you have to take one for the team for your pal who has to live with his wife or gf.

Sometimes this works out. I had a pal whose wife didn't just set me up with randos, but put some Actual Thought into whether the girl and I would get along and have common interests and be attracted to each other. Other times, it was a shit show. I let it be known that I was not running an Outreach Program for Bitter Women who had already fucked every Drug Dealer, Outlaw Biker and Escaped Mental Patient and were somehow "doing me a favor" by considering whether or not to let me pay their bills and take care of them.

Yeah, Hard No there.

So either tell your family members to set you up with women who meet whatever criteria you set, or tell them to fuck off to Jupiter with their suggestions. Simples.

This is normal in close families (single moms thrown at you or not), especially when they think you should be married by now and/or provided grandkids. When I was 25, I flew home for the holidays and went holiday shopping with my ma at Kohl's. She had been telling this random cashier girl there about me for like a year. The girl gave me her number (sympathy? IDK), but the whole situation was super cringe/disgusted me. I never contacted that gal, but I can imagine how fast her pussy dried at the thought of a grown man being set up by his mommy. Anyway I calmly explained on the drive home that that was not acceptable and that it would never happen again. Ofc my ma was super offended that I insinuated she was hovering/too involved but she got over it. I have friends with far worse stories.

If your family is starting to annoy you, start enforcing boundaries. Otherwise, ignore them and do you.
