Just starting out. Left monk mode around the new year, but was "practicing" for a while. Lifting, reading, learning. Dropped significant weight and people are mentioning it. Posture is great and I am getting tons of attention. I'm 46. My shoulders are really popping.

Last night, I had no intention of running game last night. I needed dinner and was exhausted after a painful shopping trip.

But what do you know, my gay friend P was talking to a delicate blonde with albaster skin (gay dudes make excellent wingmen). We'll call her A, in town for a conference. She's a grad student, 28 years old. A nose ring, which I normally hate, but she pulled it off. No wedding ring.

Also there was B, a guy I know from the bar. He tries to work it. Turned out he was beta. Tried to chat her up, paying all sorts of attention to her. I would jump in, make heavy eye contact, give her lots of shit about her football team (acceptable negging). When I talk to others, I turn my back completely to her.

So she's eating up the eye contact, we are really grooving. She asks for my card and I write my personal cell on the back. Apropos of nothing, she mentions how great eye contact is and how she really gets to know people that way.

Finally B loses frame, and you can see he's mad. Walks off. Its just me and her. We are connecting. Finally she wants to leave. We had discussed my new place earlier and she's in school for design. I ask her to come by my place and help me with the art. She looks slightly conflicted and says "maybe" and goes to the bathroom. A comes back and politely declines.

After going to another bar and getting a lot more attention, I go home. This morning I do a little snooping online. I quickly find her. ~Two last names, she's married. AWALT.~

I don't care if this never works, I'm actually enjoying gaming, I always hated picking up girls. Now it is the most enjoyable thing in my life.

Should I have done something different with the maybe? Left the bar when she said "maybe" and waited out front for her to leave?

This is great.

EDIT: She's not married. Was telling my close friend of hers about her and saw a different page. Her mom didn't take her dad's last name. They have a hippy thing going on where she has both parent's last name.
