A BP friend of mine is in a LTR and his GF tries to push him around.

I am very newly initiated into RP, so I've been trying to see how the terms here fit into his situation, and I could use some insight.

So my bro has pretty high smv, besides not being the tallest bloke. He's fit and he's funny. He's actually a brotherly role model for me. He's got a bachelor in electro engineering and working on his master. Meanwhile he works as a personal trainer. I mean, he is pretty high up there.

Also, his GF is a little lower on the smv scale physically, but very similar on the social scale. Smart, proper etc.

My question is about asserting frame.

The complaints are that his GF don't want to take part in things he wants to do while they are at home. Like, she never wants to see the kind of movies he wants to see. She loves to watch movies and snuggle and all that, but she always says no to any movie he suggests.

So it ends up with both of them looking for and suggesting movies for ever, and he is really getting sick and tired of the way she is being difficult. It's a small issue, but she is so hell-bent on not doing anything she doesn't want to do.

Also, she is always nagging on him to go out and do fun and new exciting stuff with her.

She doesn't like to chill at home too much, while he enjoys to relax by himself and/or with friends.

He's compromised a couple of times of course and he admits that it's been fun, but most times it's just head butting where neither gives in to the other.

How does this relate to asserting frame? Is this a Mexican standoff? Stale-mate? Or just incompatability? It's super interesting.
