They're hot, and possibly instinctively know how to make guys feel good. The girls could get companionship, comfort, stability, fun etc from guys - not everything is about money. Our psyches are complex, and the depths of what we want and what satisfies us can be deep, contradictory, and unknown.

I didn't sit and read it all systematically - more just dipped in and out of it all until I was fairly sure that it was understood and embedded and that I understand enough to have a solid grounding of the main points. My self worth, sense of deserving and confidence and all high but in a grounded way - not to the point of being delusional. The side bar gives you the essential basics, then the reading list is to help you work on different areas - you can then prioritise the areas that you identi…

Reading the sidebar is something that you just need to bite the bullet and do. However, most of the recommended books can be ingested as audiobooks - get a book each month on Audible and build your collection. Off the top of my head, start with NMMNG, WISNIFG, Rational Male and Models - then tick off more as you go. Don't compare yourself to others - you will likely never catch up many of the guys who have been smashing it for a decade or more but that doesn't matter. Your son deserves a dad who…

Gut instinct: was it in good humour and they'd wingman you or was it a passive cock block attempt? Sounds like crabs in a bucket response to me. I've dropped several guys over the last 2 years and it can be lonely as you then don't have a crowd. I've kept busy though lifting, reading, cycling etc and have tried out new guy mates - I now have a few quality friends who I have much more in common with and we have each other's backs. North by Northwest. Sure, Cary Grant was gay but he plays an excellent womaniser. He's gaslighted throughout the film and outframed several times but it's entertaining nonetheless. Also, Daniel Craig is interesting to watch as Bond. Vesper has been alpha widowed by her ex and Bond gets oneitis for her - gets burned - goes reckless MGTOW and finally acceptance. You could argue that he's then at his finest RP until he meets Mr. White's daughter in Spectre. Any thoughts? Also, those saying "movies …

I genuinely find some rude people amusing and almost intriguing - with some of them, there's a blunt honesty to it that is fascinating and refreshing. There's a woman who worked in our local post office who is really out spoken and simmers with rage towards customers for the slightest inconveniences. I've seen customers get really riled or offended by her and it's brilliant. I like to poke or tease her a bit just to see what she'll do next. It's just one of those little things in life

I can see how it could be but the intent is different. White knighting is essentially doing so to point score by virtue signalling. I'm talking about when someone starts spouting opinions near me or acting in a way that I find distasteful. A simple "I'm not cool with that" is often enough. If they then continue then I have removed myself from the situation and dropped them. The intent is give someone a chance to rein themselves in or getting rid of them, for your own sake - not to win favour fro…

Stretching. I often put it off, usually don't enjoy the twinging of muscle while doing - but it has a massive positive impact on your whole body and mindset. Back pain is often not due to a back problem - chances are you have: tight hip flexors from sitting too much tight quads and hamstrings realtively weak glutes

There isn't a right or wrong answer. TRP is at it's core an amoral study of intersexual dynamics. If you have strong feelings about it either way then you are having strong feelings about something outside of yourself and out of your control - so what's the point. Concentrate on learning what you can from it and then drop it and move on.

I have ditched 2 groups of guys mates in the last 18 months due to this (I'm married but working out a lot and having steadily been getting more and more IOIs over the last couple of years). Just let them fall away is my advice. I've ditched 6-7 in one group and 2-3 in the other. I gave them a few chances but once it became clear that they were resisting my changes then they needed to go - don't compromise or change for anyone except yourself. How tf have you ended up in this situation if you were RP aware for so long and still basically ended up being her bitch? You're so deep into her frame that you're being whiplashed by her BS and hamstering away to justify what she's spouting out. You need to lead the relationship.

Yeah the view isn't essential - my best spots just looked out onto fields or hedges. If you just keep an eye out for a week while driving around (obviously after whatever lockdowns are lifted) then you'll find a few - inside of a gentle bend on a fast moving road is ideal as headlights are tilted away from your car. A gap in the hedgerow is ideal away enough from a town so that you're less likely to get dog walkers / runners
/r/askTRP29/04/20 10:05 AM

Had a lot of fun evenings in cars with the first couple of girlfriends I had. Have some quiet, semi-secluded areas (preferably with a decent view already scoped out) and make it fun. The inside of a gradual bend on a county road can work well - look for a pull off the road like a track going down to a gate, bonus if there are hedges either side. I found a good spot 10mins drive from my parents house on the town by-pass. Could be there uninterrupted for hours as cars whizzed past behind us.

This sounds like you're putting a ceiling on success and making excuses based on the hand we're dealt. "Decently attractive before you engage in it" - male attractiveness is literally just the manifestation of your state of mind. Unless you have a significant facial deformity or equivalent then there are no excuses. Some of us start higher or lower in SMV but we can all significantly improve and be incredibly successful relative to our past selves ad those around us.

I see what you're saying but I disagree. TRP isn't a life raft, it's a set of instructions on how to swim. In order for any of it to make a meaningful difference in your life, there needs to be enough discipline to put in the work to read it and a basic level of comprehension in order to understand it. These things are fundamental and essential: Read the sidebar Lift

Looks like this plate has fallen. I've dropped a few mates over the last year. We've had nearly a decade of good times but that isn't where we ended up - BP lads letting their girls whiplash them and dictate their lives. I just don't want guys around me who are happy to be second class citizens in their own relationships - get tf away from me with that shit. Yes. This isn't "just like the flu" - those people perpetuating this are misinformed or in denial. This virus is highly infectious with a significantly higher death rate and we are all at risk. What about Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in that film that time... Both get the shit kicked out of them at times but it's how they respond - maniacal laughter and NGAF along with them bouncing back - were their SMVs affected by this? How about the main character in Never Back Down? Bond in Casino Royale? I'd argue that it's their response to getting beat down that determines this effect. I would argue that all emotions have a use. Some are pleasant, some are painful, most are somewhere inbetween - ultimately they are just a learned response to help us in striving to navigate life safely. All emotions are natural and they only become destructive when we actively or passively resist them. It is not a virtue to switch off undesired emotions and live life coldly and unfeeling. Emotions are best dealt with completely at face value by allowing yourself to fully feel them unobstructed …

Sit quietly and try to stop fighting, justifying or discounting the anger - just let yourself feel it. Turn it up - amplify the feeling into your body - perhaps there's some guilt, embarassment, shame too. Really FEEL those emotions and welcome them to exist for 30 secs to a minute. Then, just ask yourself - "can I let any of this go?" "How about a bit more?" Relax your body into the feelings and see if you can let them go when they're at their strongest

Your covert contracts regarding rent / utilities / household jobs are holding you back from being able to have an upfront direct discussion with him. Sounds like he is a save-a-hoe Nice Guy and he has out manouvered you because you haven't learned yet to be assertive. Money: Whose name(s) is/are on the lease? Do you pay in equally? Manipulation: What does he have over you? (Explicitly or worse implicitly?) Why are you allowing this? If I was sha…

Your frame can be that of: I'm here to enjoy myself, what can you do to make that happen? I'm relaxed and comfortable and I want to be shown some cool places Have her use her local knowledge b…

I generally keep my mouth shut about it as I see no reason to justify my views. Silence is powerful - This has the bonus effect of lines of conversation / ideologies just falling flat around me as I simply don't engage with what I don't agree with. "Think what you like but act like others." - 48 laws?? If a friend / acquantance says something I agree with / find interesting then I'll engage and this way friends have over time got a feel for what I'm about by what I engage with

From what I understand, it's only infectious during a flare up - when someone actually has a cold sore. Basically, if she has a cold sore then don't kiss her or have her mouth on you. You will have most likely kissed many girls who are carriers where it flares up 3-4 times per year when she's run down and you'll have been non the wiser

Nah, this is Nice Guy talk. Embrace the tension and step into it. Accept and believe that you're an attractive male and own it. If you can't do this then you have hang ups with your self image that need addressing
/r/askTRP20/07/19 10:31 PM

That pressure you suddenly feel is tension. Girls love this tension and are turned on by it. Yeah it's uncomfortable at first but if you can get used to stepping into the tension then this is the push/pull that builds attraction. Lower value guys look for any way to dissipate the tension (looking away, giving a nod, cracking a joke etc) which is basically saying "I'm not comfortable in my own body and can't handle sexual tension". STFU doesn't neccessarily mean to go silent. You can speak assertively - go broken record if she pushes for a response. Get NMMNG and WISNIFG on Audible - listen to them several times while out and about and at the gym. Internalise and put it into immediate effect as you learn. Speak with your actions, not words. Consistently SHOW her that you have changed over time through your actions. Work on building and maintaining a strong frame.

You are not to BLAME for the situation that you are in as you have been following a shitty roadmap for years that you have been conditioned to follow. "Happy wife, happy life" BS. Read NMMNG (or better in my opinion, listen to the audiobook) - work on your own Nice Guy habits along with learning intersexual dynamics (read/listen to Rational Male). It should never come to any violence on either side. Ever. You need to be the calm, immovable rock. Set a boundary and then shut the fuck up. Walk away if she gets heated. THAT is speaking through actions and she will soon get the message that disrespect will not be tolerated.

Read the drunk captain analogy with the slack in the rope - probably in sidebar. The only thing you can control and change is yourself. You cannot tell your wife that you have changed as these are just empty words to her - you need to consistently improve yourself over time and SHOW her that you are an improving, high value male - the rope will gradually tighten and she will either get on board with your leadership or you will need to leave her behind. If you're just talking about shit tests the…

Going 0 to 60 without ramping up will have this effect. As others have said DOMS - best advice I can offer is MCE (Movement, Compression and Elevation). Prevention is better than cure so from now: - Rest for a few days but with plenty of low intensity movement to promote blood flow - Dynamic stretches - Warm up and stretch before and after workouts - Ramp up the intensity gradually (taking good care of your body is a marathon, not a sprint) - Proper nutrition - Proper rest (7 hours sleep ideally…

Hypergamy describes a model of understanding that holds up to scrutiny, can be consistently applied and is congruent with observable bahaviour patterns. Do this make it 'real'? It does - in the same way that gravity is 'real'. If you argue and hamster against gravity does that make weights any easier to lift? No. Now go lift.

Tricky situation - Good effort avoiding a fight then. Ultimately, just keep improving and don't get hung up or stuck in your own head about it. In this case I definitely recommend the assertive route even more - insist on a calm discussion when things are going well about how you both need to behave and communicate when things go wrong. For this to be successful you must embody a calm, unmovable solid frame of "we are having a calm, non-judgemental discussion and storming out in a rage is not acceptable." Where is the pressure coming from that's making you feel like you have to? You can (and in my opinion should) have several active friendship groups - abundance mindset. I turned up at a pub / club / party on too many occasions to count with multiple groups there that I bounced between. Play it right and this will amplify your social proof

It may be that I'm nearly 30 but I see my secondary achool days as no more than a storm in a tea cup. The lessons in TRP should always have potential to hold true regardless of age or social setting though. With this in mind - will these girls that you're interested in want a follower of the "in" crowd or a leader? Will you be fully present and in line with who you are, speaking with sincerity and acting from your core being if you take one path over another? What potential version of yourself d…

To varying degrees, it can definitely help. If you were walking alone through deserted countryside and came across a hottie - would she just have no idea how hot you were due to lack of social proof..? If you DNGAF but are easy going, driven, reasonably well liked and focused on stuff that has meaning to you then you will be more than enough

As in you're showing a significant lack of awareness and understanding of TRP principles. Until you have read and internalised much more, your best course of action is to keep your relationship friendly but strictly just professional - don't even flirt. Once you have read the side bar and associated texts, you will understand why we are all saying this.

So many red flags in this. Read the sidebar.

Ok. That's fair, I can see why you feel that the rest relevant. It took me a while to realise that I don't have to agree with people at work or 'get them on board' - I just need to be able to assertively communicate what I want to without on one being agressive / confrontational or on the other hand, being passive, submissive or flighty. I have said about learning to be assertive because I think that it will help you a lot.

Cut the racist shit, it doesn't belong here - it doesn't add anything to this story / question and it just shows weakness on your part. Read / listen to When I Say No I Feel Guilty and work on being more assertive. Your post indicates that you're stuck between passive aggression and passive flight - the solid middle ground that you should seek is to be assertive. Get a paper trail (ideally email but text would work) that backs up that you have reported this to your manager - "following on from o…

Withdrawing friendliness/attention from women that you're not in a sexual relationship is not dread - you're crossing concepts here. Dread is where they have an anxiety that you will leave them. Even if you were to do this with an LTR for one day it wouldn't be dread. Dread is slowly build over months. This is more push/pull than anything - even then, any short term 'gain' that you may perceive won't last as the social dynamic readjusts. Source: I work with 20+ women and 2-3 men - I see the dyna…

Hard to say really - just aim to cut it off short when she's feeling that high point of the conversation and giving some IOIs. Key is to leave her wanting more rather than the logical "I'll leave once the conversation has ended". Generally, the one who is most amped up to deck the other 'wins' the fight - just make sure that you get your retaliation in first, have your guard in place, work on explosive power from the ground up and spar as much as possible. I see frame as an internal thing that exists in my head. It consists of choices and attitudes that are in my control. "Holding frame" then becomes a case of making choices for myself and sticking to them. Sometimes thing happen or situations develop such that you need to ask yourself how you will respond (this is usually when I STFU to think things through) - I then adjust my frame if I need to and respond accordingly.
