I’m sure TRP disagrees but the way I see it is if you picked the date and invited the other party, you should pay. This is especially true if you use the tell don’t ask tactic for dates. This is also why you don’t take girls on expensive dates.

I pay when I invite her to do stuff that I think is cool. Not because she’s a woman, but because I invited her to do something new.

As for bars, clubs, hookah lounges, and the rest, she could suck my dick from the back.

If you're feeling good and you just want to be generous, then maybe you can just buy them a drink. Let's say you're chilling, you're having a good time, she makes a pretty good joke and your natural response is to just say, "Hey, that was funny. I'm getting us some shots."

I usually do something free like longboarding for the first date. If I pay for anything on the date, it is likely only something small like a coffee. If you get dinner, don't pay. If the date went well, then it will tell you what she was looking for from you whether or not she is up for a second date.
