Hey all, A bit about me. I've been lurking and whatnot for a solid 5 months. I've only recently (about a month ago) been putting TRP ideas into practice, to great benefit I might add. That being said, I'm kicking myself for not starting earlier because I would be so much farther along. Also, I'm going to be a sophomore mech engineering major at a top tier tech school in the fall. Anyways, as I read through TRP and do some introspection, I'm realizing that I don't want to be dependent on anything for my subsistence. As such I'm seriously considering switching to a business major at my school. (the ultimate goal being self employment) The problem is the engineering portion of my school is insanely selective, so should I leave it I probably wouldn't return. I guess I'm just having some second thoughts because I've been reading about how crucial stem careers are. All my life I've gotten "engineering is good job. Be engineer so you have job security and make money". Fuck that noise, freedom is more important than money. So basically I'm just wondering which one makes sense to you older RP guys who've been around the block.
