Ask any 30 year old that had to move back in with their parents if all the parties and pussy was worth it.
They'll all say yes, totally worth it.
By 40, that tune changes. Reality smacks them in the face by then. Takes a while for them to realize they missed out on an entire life of fun and success in order to indulge in a decade of decadence.

The sad thing is you can have a good amount of fun while doing the right things too

Totally true.
In their eyes, staying those extra two hours at the bar gaming a girl is worth more than getting to work the next day. It's worth more than avoiding a DUI. It's worth more than their future.

yep, worth more than getting a good workout in too. A lot of the time they just spend an extra 2 hour at the bar for no reason at all... I just don't get it

Yes, it does.
First, don't be these people: It Doesn't Get Better Sure, it's comedy, but there are MFers who peaked in HS because they never thought about what came after.
The trick, however, is to both have fun and be successful. Bust your ass at work (or better, for yourself) and pop bottles and bang bitches on the weekend. Here's my handy guide: Life After 30: How To Be An Old Guy
Good luck.

As you get older, do you find that the gap between the "winners" and "losers" in life gets bigger and bigger as time goes on?
YES.
You'll be surprised.
The guys who fuck around and seem to get away with it, and make shitty choices that seem to not affect them, trust me, it will catch up to them.

I'm already starting to see it now, there are some people who are literally up to their eyelids in debt, with no job living with their parents... quite a hole to get out of at 25, and they still have like 3/4s of their lives to live. Its fucking sad but most of the people seem to have put themselves there.

Sometimes the Chad who'd normally peak in HS or College marries a chick (late in college) who's about to be a Doctor and is from a rich family and has a great life. Some winners turn into losers, some vice versa. The overall tendency is true, just don't use it as an excuse for enduring a shitty present in hopes of a better future you might not live to see.
Point is, the headspace you'd have to be in to ask such a thing is likely a destructive one to your present self.

You should already be seeing it.
Trust me, 30 year olds are the culmination of all the decisions in their 20s. 40 year olds the culmination of their 30s.
Believe me I am seeing it start... thats why I made this post, I'm really curious as to how much worse it gets. I have some friends who are making horrible choices, and want to intervene but have no clue how. Just have to worry about myself I guess.

Yep.
I feel like the actions I take today compound over time to either bigger gains, or bigger losses as time goes on. Just wanted to see if this was generally the case or not.
Consider it compound interest. The guys I hang with now driving Ferraris and custom builds are the guys that weren't embroiled in drama, drinking, and wasting time when they were younger.

This is why I tell so many on TRP to avoid drugs.
I get the most angry hamsters from TRP users when I say this.
But it's all about the long run.
Garbage in, garbage out. It will catch up to you eventually.

The thugs and badboys are being taken care of by women because they provide good sex and confidence from not having to work and be responsible for bills and mortagages but it will come a time when he wont have anything to fall back on and society will shit on him for it so keep being the hardworking boring guy it will pay off just dont get married it will be lost in a matter of months so thats the difference keep your money and business away from the claws of women and free loaders.
