Learn to play with money on the line. Online / local / casino. I prefer Casino play, but I've played so much online & local I'm sick of it. Learn pot odds, when to bet, when not to. Also, the lower stakes you play the lower the risk, but it's safer. Higher you go the higher the risk as far as quality competition. My personal opinion learn how to play Omaha first then apply it to Hold em. It'll make your game stronger. For the love of God keep your emotions in check when you lose a bad hand.

If you don't mind paying some cash, either hire a guy that plays 50nl-200nl (there's plenty that take around 40$-50$/hour) or buy doug polk lab for 1 month.

I heard that poker players either end up broke, break even, or profit but become lonely /shitty human beings. All the game is is a bunch of people sitting at a table trying to legally steal each other's money. A pipe dream purchased by Degenerate gamblers after watching WSOP for the first time. (Can you tell that I look back on my time as a poker side hustler as a waste of time?)

I've heard that the technology is so advanced that in order to compete with the real players you have to be on the computer playing thousands of hands per day.

There's learning the strategy first, then you need experience. That 10,000 hours to become an expert is relevant and players are getting that quicker with computer systems. I've heard there was a golden era in the 2000s and now it's mostly all computer geeks
