Go for it. Get a haircut and look good for them. Also, being a few different outfits so you can use them interchangeably for dating apps, LinkedIn, etc.

There’s other times where professional pictures come in hand besides dating apps. But don’t just take a bunch of headshots on a backdrop and use the same background for all your dating pics

Pro photos are Gay AF. Just my opinion. But that kind of shit says I'm desperate and thirsty.

There's nothing more pathetic to a girl than a guy who looks like a tryhard and a fake. Would not recommend getting professional photos. Most professional photographers only deal with weddings, Linkedin portraits, and high school yearbooks. They won't know how to make you look 'Alpha'. A pro photo shoot is extremely expensive as well.

If you have cash to throw away then I suppose go for it...just make sure you check out the photographer's portfolio first and see if the vibe matches what you're looking for.

Today's iPhones will deliver pics that are just as effective for Tinder as a DSLR camera. There are extensive guides in the main sub about this topic, go look at them.
