I had a scheduled date yesterday with a girl I fucked on the first date about 30 minutes in. I called her and asked where is she while waiting at the meeting spot and she said "At home, I was kidding about going out" and I hung up without saying a word, deleted her number and said to myself I should make the best out of it.

I met 5 of my female friends at a bar so I joined them for 2 beers and then got moving. I went to check out my favorite bar, saw a few people I know and exchanged a few words with them. I set down for a bit, ordered a beer and noticed 2 girls sitting at a table next to me, both of them checking me out once for a few seconds, since they were in a deep conversation. I approached them, kept it cool, asked how are their nights going and what are they drinking. After a bit I asked if they're going to be meeting someone and if I may join them, they looked at each other and were ok with it. We were conversating for about 30-40 minutes and went home.

I'm 16 and just getting into approaching women, was this shit too forward and needy? Am I better off just choosing the girl I like the most, getting her number and going back to my business next time?
