Not trying to humblebrag, just been actively working on bettering my life for ~2yrs now, I guess I got more or less lucky and things have been working out for me. Also have a really nice opportunity that came up recently. When I talk about this stuff (past achievements and future plans) to my GF she often tends to feel depressed because she's also pretty driven and hard working (probably more than me) but doesn't see as much success. She doesn't attack me or anything, instead she's been supporting me through stressful phases, but she just appears to feel bad for her level of success as compared to mine. We are in different fields and hers is overcrowded while mine isn't, so our situations aren't really comparable and her reaction appears irrational but also relatable to me. How does one deal with this situation in a way that is beneficial to everyone?
