I haven't had a good date in a long time. Every date never led to a second and seems to be a combination of me 'misreading' the situation and not escalating.

Anyway I met a girl at a party - she's actually my friends roommate - I spent a lot of time talking with her but left without escalating or getting her number.

The next morning I saw her in an instagram post and followed her/set up a date/ got her number. I was pretty smooth I guess.

She's not a unicorn but she's pretty awesome and more LTR material so I don't know what to do. I don't want to ruin what's going on right now as it seems too good to be true. Our friends run in the same circles and she's wicked smart and very pretty. She also seems into me so I know I need to escalate but I'm a little out of touch or anxious.

I wish there was a thread about first dates, but any advice y'all could offer is greatly appreciated.
