So during a first date I had late last week, we were having a few casual drinks. She goes to the bathroom, comes back, gets a phone call with an "emergency" and subsequently leaves maybe 30 minutes later.

Now, clearly she went into the bathroom and contacted a friend to phone her, but I can't see why. What I did that warranted such an exit. My "game" was solid, I'm not new to it, and our conversation had been going well. We had met before in person, and I'm not an ugly fuck.

Haven't had contact with her since (haven't attempted - she can contact me but I don't see it, lol). I'm not annoyed at all, just genuinely curious.

Any ideas gentlemen? I want to learn from this experience, it's new to me.
