I'm a 23 years old man from India. I was raised with a mindset that's inconsistent with what's attractive to women. My parents encouraged me to get a lucrative job and they'd arrange my wedding. Now that I've done some reading here I've realised that I'd be the quintessential Billy.

Since childhood, the milieu I was in fostered obsequity to women. I place/d women on a pedestal. I'd like to change. I'm not sure how. I suspect I'm socially inept. Have been on a date not once. I'm afraid of touching women. Discussing sex was considered disgraceful and unbecoming of a decent man. I'd like to unlearn this and become a liberated, assertive man. Please guide me.
