I've been analyzing a date I went on with a former plate of mine recently.

All was well, we met in a nightlife area and I did a few venue changes. We end up at her apartment and I invite myself in to use the restroom.

After I'm done, I use a lack of towel in the bathroom as an excuse to dry my hands on her lace shirt. She giggles a little and then we chat more.

During a discussion on yoga she mentions she wants a "more aggressive" outlet. She says this several times while smiling at me nice and wide.

It was here I hit a brick wall. I immediately interpreted it as an invitation to get more physical, but the internal safety routine in my head vetoed any action because she may have simply been referring to something else. I don't need any rape accusations. So I queried for more information. "Yeah?"

"Like kickboxing or something I guess."

I detected my fault. I soon thereafter found an excuse to leave.

How can I improve my ability to properly interpret hints like this?

It was so ambiguous I wasn't sure if I should have gone for it or just backed off. This one had me really hung up.

Any wisdom is appreciated.
