From London. In UK culture from late teens to young adults (im 19) when it comes to dating, there's a "talking stage" which consists of you getting to know the girl via interacting on messaging apps such as Twitter/IG DMs, snapchat etc. I find that these are tedious and girls in the UK seem reluctant to meet someone they don't know IRL unless they've developed a long relationship. People do find success and I have various times before, but it takes weeks if not months for them to be comfortable to link. I've had some friends say they've been in the talking stages for 5-6 months before first meeting to beat! Am I doing something wrong? Anyone have a similar culture and can give me some advice? Thanks!
