Recently ended an LTR with a girl that’s pretty much as good as it gets in America (1 to 0 N-Count, good friends, works hard, good parents). I haven't dated in years, so this was a big deal for me.
She’s moving away to potentially join a sorority in College out of state (while working part time) and now my knee-jerk reaction is kicking in. I want to have a better life than her, I want to be around more girls than she is around guys and I have the opportunity to do so.
I was planning on moving to a different city in a year, but I can leave in 3 months instead.
College is pretty much the American Slut Factory, best of the best. I’d be near a campus and I’ve got grants to finish courses. I also have a job waiting for me there when I move.
I currently live in the suburbs, not much opportunity here.
Downsides to the city:
I’d have to borrow money from trusted relatives to make the move (I’ve always paid them back and they know I’m good for it)
I would be sharing a room with a stranger
I would have to sell my car/ a lot going on at once
Upsides to the city:
I can see myself in that city for 5 or more years.
So many girls I won’t need to have abundance mentality as it would be abundance reality.
I could wait one year (play it safe) and make the move, or I can go all in and make the move now.
This woman is changing my plans/ affecting my decisions but only be speeding my plans up. I meet no women here in the suburbs so it's hard to have the abundance mentality.
I don't want to sit at home bored/ tempting to check her social media account. I just want to live my life.
Is she clouding my judgement, or is this a smart move?
