I've been using the apps (Tinder, Hinge) during the past month or two during the pandemic but I've had an impossible time getting people to meet up. My swipe rates aren't terrible either - I get a few dozen matches a week (I don't swipe on anyone heavy or below what i consider a 6), but the conversion rate has been 0.

Of my matches, I'd say 70% will not respond. Of the ones that do, 15% I'll have decent rapport with. Even if I get a number close, whenever I try converting that to a date, they go AWOL. This has happened at least a dozen times now during the pandemic where I'll get the girl's number, she is enthusiastic, but disappears when I try to get them to meet up.

I never had that issue before prior to the pandemic - my usual strategy was go back and forth for a few messages, get a number close, ask them out for drinks, and try to close. Maybe this strategy isn't translating well during the Pandemic? What have you guys seen work for you?
