I don't know the exact location of it but I have a herniated disk in my lower back. I can hear a click from there ever since the injury of last year. I couldn't move for a month when it happened, pain was worse than walking with broken foot and I'm pretty scared of fucking it up again. I'm not in pain anymore but I haven't been lifting anything. I researched about how to lift with injured back online and found several articles giving different arguments with too much depth which made me confused.

How can I lift while making sure I am not going to hurt my back again? Do I have to hire a personal trainer who claims to have herniated disk himself? It is pretty expensive for a college student, $80/hr. Can you give me your advice? Do you know any guide I can trust and follow?
