How do I improve it?

Practice.

Stop being closed, talk more, take risks. TALK LOUDER AND SLOWER. When someone interrupts TALK LOUDER over them until they learn to stop (doing this teaches them not to interrupt). Also say "don't interrupt" sometimes.

I find in group situations I tend to talk less, but still have significant presence. Just remain calm, and don’t shout or do anything that can be interpreted as “Fighting for attention.”

Hold the frame and internalise the thought “I am a cool dude, and people will listen to what I say, when I am comfortable saying it’

I would just note that talking a lot, talking fast and talking over people isn’t a sign of confidence. If someone is talking over you, they may very well be the most insecure one in the group. If I were being interrupted I would just stop and smile at them. You also need to get comfortable not talking in groups, just presenting dominant body language, listening and asking questions. People will ask you questions back and you can be vague or tell a good story if you have one. Just some thoughts on this.
