The gym is definitely beneficial to you, no doubt, however, you need to be the judge on whether or not you need to be spending more time wisely. If your struggling to pick up girls, but you already have the body of an Adonis, then you probebly need to focus on your sense of style, conversation skills, etc, rather than your bulk or physique. Similarly, if your in debt, or are struggling with work/university, then the gym isn't going to help you beyond improving your physical and mental well being…

Keep in mind, the best thing for your daughter could be for you to break up. That way, you could spend your time with her dedicated to loving her, rather than worrying about how it influences your wife

When everything shut and life radically changed, I saw that as a great chance to break bad habits and build new ones. I’ve pinned down my sleeping schedule, started exercising at home alot, and even started keeping a diary. My size hasn’t improved doing hitt, but it give me an amazing adrenaline rush, just like I would at the gym.

I use to focus heavily on the deadlifts and squats. sadly, gyms have been closed for 6 months now in the UK. I’ve doing a lot of HITT to make up for it, but I miss the gym alot. I’ve heard good things about Jocko, thanks!

I’m Uk based, but have no experience with crime or your culture. Best advice I can a say is you need to have a goal or a dream that you can work towards that will give you a better life style. Use that money to get an education and a job your going to enjoy, or use it to start your own business, etc I’m not gonna moralise why crime is bad, but keep in mind that you could have all that more, your lifestyle, and freedom stripped away any day.

It's all about context and personal taste. Some girls will like you more, some will like you less. What is more important is how you wear them. Can you style your self so they compliment you?

I’ve started journaling too, and I absolutely love it. I use it to force myself to face the emotions and thoughts that I might otherwise try to ignore or avoid. I do it everyday at 10pm as I begin my wind down before bed at 11. Really helps me settle.

It’s about faith and trust. If you can’t have either of those in your partners, then it’s over. The lack of faith or trust might be due to their mistakes, or your own paranoia, but in either case. It’s over

1) Take a genuine interest in theirs stories. Listen and comment on other peoples experiences. Talk about what you want to do and are planning to do. Don’t feel pressured to make up stories, just be honest with what you have, and what you want to do. 2) Social Media can play a huge role in modern social groups. You need to learn to develop a relationship with it that beneficial to you. A relationship where you can build and present a positive image of yourself, and communicate with those importa…

Thankfully I've worked hard to make myself irreplaceable and high value where I work, The machine isn't my only responsibility. I'm doing my best to show my boss that I'm pushing this work to be done where ever I can, but sadly the guy in charge of fixing it is much higher up than me.

Thankfully I've been doing incredibly well at this job, after sucking at two others. I've contributed a lot to demonstrate my value to the company and make myself irriplacible. I'm actually saving for a deposit on a house, so I have nearly a years worth of emergency funds if I need it. Still something happens like this, and it's enough to shake my frame. Even if I know WHY it's shaking it, it doesn't stop me from seeking how to improve it.

NMMNG is my favourite RP book I have read. It made me look at the very foundation of which my personality and anxieties were based on. I've not heard of WISNIFG until now. Is it worth a read?

Yeah, thanks for this advice. I'm trying to get better at not hiding my mistakes. I grew up with dyslexia as a kid, so I'm use to be told off for innocent mistakes, which led me into a bad habit of trying to hide them. I do my best to be organised professional these days, so when a mistake does happen, and they do, I can put my hands up and admit to them.

My philosophical approach to this is: Life is a lot like Minecraft, you've got to make your own entertainment. In most computer games, your given really clear goals and objectives from the word go, and the game rewards you with entertainment for working towards them. When you start minecraft, your not given any goals or direction, over than the agency of don't die. It SHOULD be very boring, but people have an incredible amount of fun. Building houses, exploring caves, makes friends online and bu…

" I jokingly say I don't hookup because I don't want STDs. She blurts out that STDs aren't a joke seeing as how annoying they can be. " You fucked up here. Don't joke about serious issues like this. You feel into her frame when she started making you take her point seriously.

I just want to reiterate how good NMMNG is. I've read many good books that have helped me improve and build upon who I am, but this book alone made me look at the foundations and principles I had built myself on.

You won't alwasy been in a good position to do what you want. You need to focus or adapt to the situation you find youself in. Find something else rewarding and fufilling to do during this time other than working on your cold game. On the other hand, You could try online dating. Which despite it faults, lets you overcome a lot of the covid restrictions. I managed to get lucky this year and have nee seeing a surprisingly high quality girl from bumble.

It's easier for a girl to agree to a date and then bottle for whatever reason than to actively say 'no'. I consider myself good with women, but I have it in my head that they will flake 50% of the time regardless of what you do. Best thing to do it always have a back up plan. If a girl flakes, make sure you you have some fun/exciting to do as an alternative, go visit a plate, see if your friends up for a quick drink. Always have something better to do that spend time with girls.

Priorities. Lifting and judo is good, but not as good as developing healthy relationships and satisfying your social needs. Unless your seriously going to be a professional wight lifter, you don't NEED to go to the gym 4-5 times a week. Making friends, developing friendships and sexual relationships are is first and foremost skills in their own right. You up bringing, which is no fault of your own, hasn't allowed you to develop your skills to the same level as other people your age. Thankfully, nothing is stopping you from developing these skills now. "Even making new friends can be a struggle." Take this from a 32 year old engineer with a PhD. You might had a PhD, but in the field of dating that means nothing. You've still got to put yourself out their. Your wealth with give you a lot of freedom and will help make yourself presentable (good quality cloths, hairdressers etc), but at the end of the day, you've still got to do what everyone else does and throw yourself in front of plenty of women. For physical physique, its actually very low IMO, It's all about your presentation. When anyone looks at you they're gonna start making assessments and judgements based on your appearance. This includes things such as do you look social competent? Do you look confident/happy? Do you look like you can make friends and entertain people? Are you competent enough to dress well? Do you look like you have your shit together? If your healthy and go to the gym regularly, say have 15% body fat and reason…

You got to remember that in the UK, most minorities are those from under privileged back grounds who need this additional support. I can't emphasis how much your back ground and support networks effect you life, work and academic studies. The women in STEM is a bit different. The UK drastically needs more people trained in STEM subjects, and rather try to recruit men harder, they are attempting dismiss the notion that STEM isn't for women. The more women in STEM, the better for everyone.

As a disabled person, I struggled incredibly in school. The way highschools are run with everyone working and being taught at their at same rate make it very hard for people with learning disabilities to keep up. It wasn't until I went to university, where I was able to work and learn at my own place that I was able to start enjoying learning, and excel. I'm pretty sure Tindr is lieing to you. These Super hot guys are accounts they've created, or accounts that have been cherry picked by Tinder to show new users in order to get them hyped or hooked. Once users have swiped past them, only then do the authentic accounts begin to appear. Plenty Of Fish use to do something equally manipulative. I hadn't used my account in several years. Then I logged on, and got bombarded by 'Heys' from accounts that didn't look real.

Life is a lot like minecraft. it has no inherit meaning, no objectives and comes with no inherent motivation other than don't die. If you want to find enjoyment in it, you have to set your own goals and objectives. Some people do this better than others, some find create wonders of engineering and others create large societys and adventures. Others just get bored and quit after 10 minutes,

From a career perspective, do some research into what someone in your position with your skills and experience should be paid, and request that. Don't say you'll take less for any reason. Despite what you read and learn on TRP, this is lesson a you will only learn the hard way. I'm pretty sure every guy on here has followed his base instincts and tried to tie a girl down once before. Most lads are still virgins in their mid 20's, you in contrast now have a wealth of experience in both sex and relationships under your belt. Her problems with her and her boyfriend are their issues not yours. If their needs to be boundaries set to protect that relationship, that's their responsibility, not their. Porn was always a stress release for me, an easy dopamine hit whenever you need it. Keeping yourself buys with other, more productive and rewarding dopamine hits is the way to get over it. The biggest challenge for me was braking the habit of doing it before bed. I've been using HITT videos on youtube, I'm doing 5 to 6 work outs a week currently. The routine and live instructor real help motivate me, I rarely stop in sets, regardless of how much I'm sweating. The variety they force on your is really good, stops you falling into the same regular patterns, and helps develop kinaesthetic awareness.

I've always believed in confidence as the belief in ones ability to handle the known and unknown in any situations. I was preparing for an interview for my first career position after leaving university. After doing a lot of background research into the role, I realsied how little I didn't know about the role, but I also realsied how important the can-do attitude was in approaching these unknown. My attitude suddenly became, 'whatever happens, I will can handle it' and that became my confidence …

Too many people on this sub blame their failings on society and feminism, and it gets quite toxic at times. It’s okay explain and explore how these modern ideas and concepts effect us as men, but like this post describes, any growth needs to come from taking responsibility for our selves, not blaming it on feminism.

"What if I had friends? What if I went to that party" This summerises my mid twenties. I only started to come out my shell when I first went to University. I threw myself at every social situation I could, but I didn't have the skills and experiences to take the most out of it at the time. When I got a second shot doing a PhD, it felt like a dream come true. In my second year of Uni, I was living with friends in the local 'party' house. I do not, I’m a scientist, and it can take a while to find one. I do not now 100% I am being terminated, but I am coming to the end of my probation period, and things haven’t gone well. I like the job in theory, but my relationship with my manager is hell. Whilst I love the subject, I have to ask if the actual work is for me.

Thank you for the inspirational message. Make I ask why you made the change? I love the idea of the job I am doing right now, but the pressures and reality if it are getting to me.

Tl;dr. but it sounds like you use helping people as a way o garner attention and validation. Alot of people do it, I use to do it myself. Go read No more Mr.Nice guy and it will explain why.

It becuase you are overly invested. I assume this is your first relationship. You need to know that you ate strong and confident enough to meet new girls and be happy if this one goes south. You need to start working on self improvement and meeting new people. You don’t need to cheat on your girlfriend with other girls, but establish confidence that you can connect and bound with them.

/r/askTRP17/01/19 09:43 PM

The fire was hot for sex, but you missed that chance due to alcohol, which is normal. You should have minimised texting, texting just lets the tension you built dissolve. What you should have done, and can try now, is arrange another time to meet that blantly another chance for sex, them keep texting to a minimum to build tension.
/r/askTRP16/01/19 03:31 PM

I agree entirely. This date was originally planned for Friday, but she had to to bail last minute. I would have ‘next’d’ but she offered to reschedule for tonight in the same message.

Thankfully your a dude, and men are judged more on there grooming than there genetic appearance. Get in shape, style your hair and beard, develop a skin care routine. When people look at you and immediately think ‘Damn, that guy has his shit together’ you have reached the effective peak of male attractiveness.

Yeah, holding frame during this situation is a challenge, you did a good job. You need to put your own priorities first, and it’s important that you GF see you as so who does. Feel free to take time away from her, speak to you best (male) friends about what happened, and get emotional if you need too.
/r/askTRP02/01/19 11:27 AM
2

Best thing to do is be honest with her and move on. If you just want sex, and she wants more than sex, then there no honest way to make her go back to just fucking.
/r/askTRP01/01/19 10:04 PM

Learn to enjoy approaching. When you are doing it for your own enjoyment, you’l stop coming across as needy.

sounds like she wants to tie you down. The best thing to do is be honest about attentionsz if she is acting like she wants more than just sex, then the best thing to do is to not lead her on and walk away.
/r/askTRP28/12/18 01:56 PM

Nothing sounds ‘wrong’ from what you’ve written. You’re still young and learning, just keep learning, keep practicing and you’ll get there in the end. You last GF sounds young, and probably didn’t want sex because of her own issues and you shouldn’t let it reflect on you in anyway.
/r/askTRP28/12/18 01:17 PM

Your over thinking it, don’t worry about trying to pretend your busy. What you should do is ask yourself if there is a way to use that 4 hours of free time more productively

This has been said twice, but to elaborate, you should be doing things and self improving for your own gain and benefit, not for the sake of impressing woman. If there’s one person you need approval of, one person you need to love and be loved by, one person you need in your corner, it is yourself.
/r/askTRP19/12/18 09:49 AM
1

Yes, I’m dyslexic and get distracted very easily. I always keep my phone in my desk where I cam hear it, but know not to touch it. It’s important to train your friends and family not to expect you to answer immediately. Your a busy guy and you have priorities. If you get a Tindr message, don’t read it until your ready to reply. Just focus on what your doing, and take the ego boost that some chick is sending you messages.

It takes 2-3 days toadapt to a new sleeping schedule. as a late teen, your body clock is use to sleeping later. I recommend not trying to pull your schedule that far forward. Have an hours downtime before bed, find somewhere quite, and not to dark to read or engage in low energy activity. Avoid screens as well.
/r/askTRP12/12/18 03:46 PM

Help her, but don’t become a caregiver and build a relationship where she feels indebted to you. Give her space, let her know that you are strong and independent and that she doesn’t need to worry about you.
/r/askTRP09/12/18 09:49 PM

By looking after yourself first and foremost. You Son will look at you as a role model, there no point trying to impart the lessons of diligence and confidence if you yourself have none.

So here what feel's like an embarrassing question, what DO you do when a girl dances with you? I could always dance normally enjoy it, but I normally think there expecting something more and get nervous.
/r/askTRP09/12/18 08:50 PM

Yeah, It's club is a bit of an unfamiliar social vibe for me. I can definitely enjoy it, it a special club where they play my kind of music. I always make a point to introduce myself to all the guys that go, So I've got friends to turn to, and so can learn form them how to behave in that kind of situation
/r/askTRP09/12/18 08:46 PM

You should never discuss or think about the height difference. You are immediately setting yourself up to feel insecure. Just post to your profile your height, that way anyone looking will know your not a shamed.
/r/askTRP05/12/18 06:33 PM

Your use to getting validation or creating a safe environment through fixing other peoples problems. (As described in No More Mr.Nice Guy). The immediate solution is to start putting your needs first.

It’s not your job to save the world. Most people are uncomfortable having there paradigm on how the world is suppose to work broke, and will rebel against it. Talk to your best friends about it and those you actual care about, don’t waste your time talking to randoms. It best to speak about aspects and trp ideals, without mentioning TRP. When you mention TRP, they will immediately assume your preaching and shut you down.
/r/askTRP03/12/18 10:16 AM

Honestly, you sound like a pretty cool dude. You look after yourself, you have cool hobbies and seem driven. All these rich dudes with money probably come of as beta and desperate if there trying to buy who food and drinks are going to impress her. but by not doing anything like that to grab her attention, your demonstrated a mindset where you self worth is higher than hers.
/r/askTRP03/12/18 08:36 AM

/r/TheRedPill02/12/18 11:20 AM

It depends what YOU want. Only date those that you like and stimulate you in the right way. I’d avoid cradle snatching and dating 19 year olds at your age, but don’t limit yourself by setting specific age limits.
/r/askTRP01/12/18 09:45 PM
9

Do which ever you prefer. Yes, prioritising her over your make friends is bad in the long run but it’s not an iron clad rule. If you go, make sure you exercise high SMV. Have all that fun you mentioned in your post, and make sure to talk to all her friends, female and male. Make friends with them, so there approval makes your SMV rise from her point of view.

No More Mr.Nice Guy has some opinions on the recent changes to men. 50-80 years ago, most boys grew up in a radically different would. Rural life stlyes meant boys grew up with there fathers and had plenty of a strong male role models to mould them into men. These days boys don’t have as strong male role model. Are fathers work 9-5 away from home, and we are mostly raised and taught by females in school. This generated a generation of boys raised how to be men from women and TV. These boys grow …

I whole heartedly agree, when I started my path of self improvement, way before I found trp, I was definitely motivated by my lack of female interaction. Thing is, there were so many other improvements and fulfilment’s I needed to reach before I was ready for mature interaction with women. The most fundamental thing with me was learning how to actually bond and form real friendships with other people.

Nothing Beta about showing love and affection. What you should NOT do is become emotionally dependent on her. /r/askTRP07/11/18 06:28 PM

First of, try to avoid sleeping with co-workers in future, al ways a bad idea. Just tell her you’ve been buried underwork and ask her about how something you are both invested in is going(Her own work, family, hobbies etc)
/r/askTRP07/11/18 06:26 PM
1

Best thing to do is brake it up into multiple smaller texts. Start of by saying: ‘It’s right by....’ Even if she doesn’t know exactly where it, you can be more specific in another short text if shes asks. You can apply this to any logistical problem with dates.
/r/askTRP07/11/18 06:23 PM

Needs more context, IMO, just walk away and forget about her. Exposing her is just going to drag things out.

Sounds like your got the hard end of the stick. Are there any social classes or sporting groups(martial arts in particular) where you can meet people outside of university? First if, don’t fuck without protection, no pussy is worth unwanted children. Second, finishing yourself was a bad move. You should have show some consideration by not orgasming yourself. You need to learn to make real friends and connects with people before you can move onto proper relationships with women. Don’t fake social proof, earn it legitimately.

My motto is ‘Discipline ends where motivation ends’. To dig yourself out of a rut, you’ve got to build a routine and stick to it. You need to keep works hard at your career and education, make sure you have your targets set and schedules made to meet them. Make sure you have time for your friends and loved ones too, they should be apart of your routine too

I’ve never believed the extovert/invert division, I find myself oscillating between the two depending on my current mood and needs. I can be pretty extroverted, but I noticed I’m capable of just sitting back and letting people talk, without disappearing into the background like I once would have.
/r/askTRP22/10/18 03:10 PM

yeah, thats terribly worded. I do two things, one is a language exchange where I chat with both Japanese and English people in a cafe for 2 hours week. The other in a munch, where I meet people into fetish stuff on fet life. The former is a bit to formal, and not really for in depth banter, but the munches are an opportunity to talk about whatever.

I gather your young and this is your first time. You can read TRP all you want, but like any skill, you won’t get good at it until you practice. You’ll probably make mistakes, but as long as you learn and grow from them, then all is good. Don’t worry to much about it, just tale moments to think things through, and enjoy what might be your first relationship. Just make sure whatever happens you keep a condom at the ready.
/r/askTRP15/10/18 01:21 PM

Read Mr.Nice guy, it was one of the best, but one of the hardest books for me to read.
/r/askTRP12/10/18 10:50 AM

Two words: Outcome indifference. The key too most social situations is learning to enjoy that moment, and not worry yourself about obtaining a second date or getting laid. The moment you try to ‘earn’ or ‘win’ her approval, that’s when you start to smell desperate. Obtaining outcome indifference comes with experience, once you’ve dated more girls, your learn to stop giving a shit, so just keep going.

I use to feel that way too, but not feeling competitive with other men is an essential part of developing meaningful relationships with other guys. You need to have positive male role models in your life. These guys need to be older and more successful than you so you can learn from them, If you feel intimidated by another guy, change your frame and think ‘How can I bond or become more like this guys’, rather than be competitive.

My personal philosophy has always been to accept my own shortcomings as my own fault. If my short comings are due to society, then I can’t do jack about them. However, if there due to my own faults, I can learn and grow from them, and that motivated me to become a better person. 10 years ago when I was a loser and the only thing that kept me going was the thought I could grow and change. Learn to obtain acceptance from those closest to you, family, friends, close co-workers. You can't and don't need acceptance from every stranger and acquaintance to develop self worth.
