Its just how human beings are; we're hedonists by nature. Easiest way to explain why women do it is to understand why you would do it yourself.

Several trends in my past:

She started asking to chill. This escalated.
she met me and began comparing, decided I was the better choice and either left him or cheated then left him.
she tried to balance me with another af, turned out I was more dismissive than he was so she ran for it.
I didn't know she had another guy, I find out a few weeks in.
I wanted her so I gave her a change of pace. (intentionally acted the opposite of her guy, most rare occasion, I don't chase as a general rule.)

Edit: one more. Social proof demanded she grab the cash. (this has happened quite a few times, though I wouldn't count it as stealing a girl. I'll fuck her, force her to break up, then drop her the moment she does as some sort of black Knight justice complex)

From my personal experience. They get comfortable with their hubby (a.k.a. he got beta/low value/boring/anythingelse) From this point they up the sociability with men. Eventually she'll find someone that she's "just talking to".

This talking will escalate quickly. Remember in her mind it's an equally exciting time. It's secret and forbidden and that increases her tingles.

Now turn this around and have a guy in a relationship fuck a hot slut that's wiggling her ass in his face at the club. And he's suddenly a bad guy. Never feel bad for cheating on your girlfriend.
