I know that there's a wave of low quality posts here but i hope this isnt one of them, as I'm really struggling with deploying what i read, mainly Stoicism.

I finished Meditations by Marcus Aurelius (I will have to read this book 3-4 times more atleast to fully comprehend everything he says since english is not my first language) and just started The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday. I'm about 25 pages in, and honestly, I thought to myself, I know that I need to have a level head in all situations and to control my emotions in favor of logic. But I still feel baited into emotional reactions. They dont have to be verbal, but mood changes or body language is different.

Now I know this takes years and years of practice, and even then, you will never reach the point where you are fully poised to confront everything logically and/or with your emotions set aside. But I feel that I am not putting what I'm reading into practice. Yes, deep down, I now know when i react in a wrong way to something or how i behave, which in turn causes me to reflect on how I behaved. But is there anything or any way to practice stoicism, other than this method of reflection?
