I'm 6' and 170, with about 12-13% body fat, so my body looks better than it ever has! I was working towards 185, as that was my previous goal, however...

A few months ago I saw a shirtless picture of me in highschool when I just barely first started working out. I was a scrawny little boy that weighed like 135 pounds and had ~7% body fat. So my body was shit. But holy fuck I didn't notice how much more defined my jaw and face was when I was that low body fat. I had a model-like look, almost.

Anyhow, I started really trying to cut (yeah I know I shouldn't cut until I'm 185 but I want that really defined face back lol). After basically starving myself and doing intense ass cardio for a couple months I dropped to ~10% which was awesome, and I could see the difference.

I was happy with my progress so decided to keep up the intense cardio but stop starving myself to continue on my mission to hit 185. But holy shit I swear I gained it all back and probably even more in like a single month.

It's not like I eat a HUGE amount, like ~3000 calories a day of healthy food.

So how the fuck do you guys stay in the single digit BF% without starving? I'm thinking maybe its a genetic thing and my body's baseline BF is like 12%.

tl;dr how do you stay low body fat without starving, and what foods are good for this?
