Older men paying their way for young women makes sense but i cant figure out the inverse.

A couger age woman with a successful career, wealthy financially ect. I never understood why they go for younger men, when hypergammy would suggest they would want a guy with more wealth, status and looks.

I was in such a relationship before years ago. I was a student around 23 and a 41 year old woman i met wanted a relationship with me. She was wealthy and successful, had no kids but a couple failed relationships. At first she’d travel long distances to see me, then pay for trips sometimes. However she also pushed HEAVILY for commitment a few times till blue pill me back then gave in.

What i never understood was why a wealthy successful older woman would even WANT a relationship with a young guy, from a red pill view, rather than just keeping casual forever while she looked elsewhere.

All i can think of to explain it was that I was good looking, and a couple notches above her in looks, and she used to find my behaviour attractive(was fairly alpha in behaviour back then), and she had few options otherwise( due to looks, mental health, or whatever)
