How far is too much dread?

Fuck I dread seeing the word dread in a title.

Because everybody on askTRP is doing it WRONG. If you haven't nbeen in a shitty relationship for at least a year you have no business even mentioning the term. You'll misunderstand it, do something stupid, rambo or halfassed, and blow up the relationship... which is the whole point of climbing the dread ladder... fix you to see if you are the fuckup or the relationship is untenable. That's the top of the 12 steps.

Dread is about turning around a long term relationship (and you're in high school so LTR is impossible) in which you are unhappy, but for whatever reason you don't want to just end the relationship..ie marriage/kids,etc. The lower 5 levels are simply a guide to become a man worthy of looking yourself in the mirror every morning, because how can she see you as a worthy man if you don't believe it yourself? The first six months of dread are ALL about changing yourself, not manipulating her.

I bet you haven't even read the source material.

Are you unhappy? Then why "dread"?

Do you want to end the relationship but have a compelling reason to stay? Then why "dread"?

Doesn't matter if it's the result of dread game or whatever you're doing... that should be a red flag.

It's good to find out why she said this. Is she insecure about her status? In that case she has been experiencing dread already. Maybe because she has low self-esteem, maybe because you've been dreading her subconsciously.

Another explanation is projection. She cheated and thinks you found out.

Either way, considering that she was in tears it may have been better of you to ask what the problem was instead of typing 'lol'.
