I'm 30 and really struggling lately. I've been following RP principles for 2 years now and saw some early success, then plateaued or regressed in every category other than lifting which is the only part of my life that is actually going great. It's the only thing keeping me sane. So please don't tell me to lift.

Everything else seems to have gotten much harder in the last year, when I was hoping it would start to get easier as I improved more. Online dating doesn't work at all for me anymore, most of the women I meet in person are overweight, and I literally get more attention from gay men when I go out than I do from women. My social circle was already too small to begin with. Now most of my friends have either fallen into the marriage trap with girls who are rapidly packing on the pounds, don't let them go out anymore, and keep trying to set me up with their fat friends. Or they've given up and resigned themselves to porn and video games.

I know the guy who keeps posting about having the college frat experience in his 30s is unrealistic, but what about guys who have ruled out marriage/children and want to REALISTICALLY maximize their sexual/social lives? I'm not expecting to be Dan Bilzerian, but I don't think it's unreasonable to want to be able to attract women who aren't overweight, and have a group of friends to actually do things with instead of sitting around on a Friday night watching sports or playing Cards Against Humanity with their wives.

Can location really be a limiting factor? Obviously you don't want to live in some small boring town, but other than that, for guys who aren't rich and have to work, is there really much difference between different parts of the US? I live just outside a major city but I'm wondering if starting over somewhere new might be the best thing to do at this point.

I don't want to fall into the "grass is greener" mentality, and I keep hearing bad things about pretty much every city in the US when it comes to this stuff. And I think I might be too old now to realistically move somewhere and start over. But I'm trying to eliminate variables and figure out why this stuff is so hard for me. It seems to fly in the face of TRP theory that says a man's value increases in his 30s.
