I'm 18 and going to college next year. I party a lot and am planning on rushing in the fall and hopefully joining a fraternity. Unfortunately, I have a speech disfluency called a silent block. In group settings, especially when I feel somewhat uncomfortable, I have trouble talking. One on one I'm usually pretty solid unless, but when it's loud and people are around it can get tough to get words out. Nevertheless, I still go out at every opportunity I can to socialize. I was wondering how I can still be alpha in these kinds of situations. One worry of mine is that during rush, I'll have these blocks and I won't be able to make a name for myself and get a bid. Can you guys give me a few pointers and tips aside from having good posture and body language? Thanks
