I’m 21 years old and realised that my social skills are pretty poor, and have been for a while now. I started lifting again and consistently 5x days per week for one month and more than which isn’t much but I thought was progress. I started Muay Thai which I had been planning on doing and other things. But after 3 years at university, I still haven’t managed to have a group of consistent friends, I’m fairly alone and really only speak to one person. I miss a few cues and one girl even subtly hinted that she tried to include me, but I’d take a while to respond to texts and stuff like that. This problem is starting to be quite big. I’m an introverted individual and don’t mind hanging out with others but my skills are not as good as most of my peers. I still have a group of friends but they’re from high school and one on one hang outs are usually awkward or if fun they’re doing most of the heavy lifting. I kinda sit in the background and do nothing. Part of this stems from young age and being withdrawn I could just jump into a convo, I’ve read heathcliff s snowballing and social butterfly post which helps a little and I’ll try to implement.

But any tips, is it just practice ? It sucks when I meet other dudes I know and they always ask if I’ll be at the club or a social event at the uni and I say yeah but I won’t go since I have no one to fkin go out with.
