I am currently attending a lindy hop dance class and we switch between leading and following. Whenever I am partnered up with a girl they tell me that they are shit leaders and prefer following and whenever we practise anything they are constantly using self deprecating "humor" (omg I suck so much at this!!!, I am really bad at leading etc.). Some just start laughing awkwardly when they mess up. Not looking to date them or anything in that direction but just want this to be more fun and relax the mood because I don't really know what to reply. So how to react when girls act like this?
