Been dating this girl for a few months. We both got out of something pretty serious before we met. The guy she was fucking apparently started sliding into her dm's on insta about a month into us seeing each other. From what I know, it wasn't anything aggressive, just random memes and posts and stuff, here and there, once or twice a week. One night about 2 months in she told me ab it unprompted and how it annoyed her. I was curious and she showed me her convo with him, unprompted. She wasn't really responding but would like some of the things he sent her. I fucked up and said yeah I don't really like that either. Then she kind of pseudo shit-tested me and asked if she should block him. I fucked up and said sure, why not? So she did. So he's been blocked and it was mostly her doing but I realize now I fucked up by giving this guy the illusion of enough power to warrant something as aggressive as a block. The more I read about mate guarding on here the more I should have laughed it off and said no need or just made it look like I truly don't give a shit (because I shouldn't have). Is there anyway to undo what's been done? How would I open this dialogue with her without coming across as having this kid on my mind? Or should I just let it go
