I'm keen on the idea and was of course always brought up "well tur hur the man always pays for the lady, no matter what pay for everything" I've been getting better at it but I'm a college student and a lot of these immature girls who don't know anything were brought up the same way and always expect the guy to pay.

Usually I just say, "Just so you know, we're splitting the bill. You can spend time with me, but buying you shit you gotta earn" with a grin on my face. This usually works, but this weekend I went out with a girl and told her that and she looked at me like I was nuts and actually walked out of the place. I just straight-faced told her see ya as she walked out.

So I was wondering what your guys' strategies are for this, how do you split the bill without making it seem like your either a huge dick, super cheap, or broke? And do you always split it, even when you ask her to go out with you? Or is it circumstantial?
