Earning commitment is the woman's responsibility. You are OPEN to a relationship only. Continue your current investment but never bring up commitment on your own. She must ask for it like a big girl. This is important because setting the tone for an LTR is critical to getting what you want long term

Before becoming "official".

Spend a few weeks sliding into conversation what your boundaries are.

What behaviors do you have a problem with at the moment? Is she capable of changing them?

Make sure you triple check your vetting list.

Personally I'm not going into a relationship until a woman absolutely respects me, I've yet to meet a woman who even comes close. Obviously I might have some grandiose ego but I am patient as fuck so not bothered anyway.

Vetting is key. Is this the woman deserving and capable of fulfilling your needs, helping you with your mission, etc? Bunch of guys on here saying LTR’s are entirely bad news. And for many many men, they are. I’m young but I know that I will definitively want children one day. And while it’s somewhat possible to work around, it’s likely that I will eventually have to enter into an LTR for this to happen, at least under my ideal conditions barring becoming incredibly wealthy. Eventually, I will find a woman who is of preferred value and has been continuously vetted to be the mother of my children. It’s high risk, but reality nonetheless. The biggest bullshit pushed about marriage/LTR’s is that you are “sharing” life together. The only person you can count on and have a basic level of control over is yourself. If you do choose to wife this chick up, continue to live under this assumption. She is merely a companion in your story/on your journey. LTR’s aren’t inherently a trap but they can easily become one if you lose your way as so many men do. Is she hot? Because I’ve boosted my value at times in being exclusive for a period with hot women. Other, particularly slightly less, hot women see the bar that’s been set (social proof). But to put it colloquially, having an LTR doesn’t mean you can’t continue to climb higher, it just makes the slope more slippery, with the bottom of the mountain being a dead bed room beta town. Or a place called divorce rape or alimony city.

If you want it and she wants it, then why not? Just be careful and don't lose sight of your goals.

Regardless of RP stuff just make sure you know how involved each of you wants to be in the other's life. Sharing and/or bearing responsibilities of the other. If one wants to do that more than the other, overall or in specific areas of the other's life, it can cause problems down the road.
