Today I went to a opthalomogist for the first time, I've had this weird phenomen that I cant see well in the periphery in my vision and can't see in dark at all compared to an average individual. Well, it was confirmed that I have retinitis pigmentosa,a inheritent eye disease, that slowly degenerates your vision.

It's quite weird to suddenly get a name and definition to my vision f*ckedupness. There is no known cure also...yet. Would you hide this disease from others? Would you file in an assasement to the government to get some legal blind money? (I am not blind, my central vision is quite okay and I'm having optimistical thouights that there is a cure soon e.g stem celss n such.)

I guess this is also somewhat of a getting stuff out of my mind, because I havent told it to basically nobody besides my family. Many friends know that i have something with my eyes from previous encounters e.g cant see in the dark. I wonder if a party-mindset is causing it to degenerate faster? Smoking, alcohol, weed for example... Does it affect my SMV? How to own it? How would you proceed? I'm just pretty curious and confused too..
