Lets start by quickly explaining my situation here. I'm a 28 year old guy, not bad looking, in shape, always had girls. I have learned about TRP after a breakup with this girl I have been 5 years with. This was between the age of 21-26. I have had a lot of one night stands, short relationships with girls when I was 16-21. At that age, I wasn't really picky, if a girl showed me signs I would go for it. But now, in this last 2 years, I started to be picky, I started going after girls that are probably a bit over my head. I get the sex part most of the time, but I'm looking for a LTR now. I have noticed that these girls (8-10, even 7's thanks to social networks) have a loooot of guys going after them, and even if your game is really good, I just cant keep them around for long.

I was wondering why is that the case....

So today I was talking with this girl that I work with, she told me how she left her boyfriend because she cant be in a relationship atm. As we were talking about it she mentioned this other guy who was her ex. She said she would do LTR with him the second she could. But she won't because he's a dick because he cheated on her.

So I asked her, "You dumped your boyfriend because you dont want a relationship, but you would be with your ex if you could?" She said "Yes!"

She said that she gave a chance to this guy, but she was never really into him, she said she feels he's not good enough.

So it clicked in my head. So girls with a higher "status" than you will give you a chance based on the belief that you "might" have some hidden aces. If you do, you might keep her around for a while, but sooner or later she will realise you are under her league.

Does that actually mean you should try LTR only with girls that are clearly lower status than you?

I have tried to explain what I came up with, in my head its clear but when I try to write it for you guys its sounds kinda shitty, if someone is willing to explain it better I'd love to edit the thread with his words.
