When I get lower marks on my evaluation, I tell them that me being a male has something to do with it

That was a really bad approach. You created a "me vs. you" situation. You are the one who wants something from them (career opportunities, good marks, ...) not the other way around. They do not owe you any of that.

What do you do? You befriend them. Always be up for small talk, give them a light pat on the back. This will make them feel bad when they want to give you bad marks. It will also light up the atmosphere and the women will be more friendly towards you.

How do you get to be the leader? Hierarchy-wise: No way. Doctors are the bosses. So how can you get rid of that low status? Repeat these words "I like how you handled that situation.". The idea is to ingrain the idea that your thoughts are important to them. Once you get that status where they tell you about all that shit you use sentences like "I'm a little proud of you".

How do you take more responsibility? I don't know about hospitals and nurses but in general: You just take it. Don't wait for someone to give you tasks. That makes you replacable. You have to see tasks that are out of your job description and do them. Make the life of your manager easier.

OP, women regarding sex and women regarding working environment are two very different things. Due to the way our society is you should always treat a woman at work they way you would treat any male colleague. Since you work in a female dominated field the same that applies for male dominated fields for women applies to you.

Work twice as hard, and show double the initiative. We desperately need male nurses because they can then instill some structure in a female dominated field. Dont get me wrong I love female nurses. it is one of the professions that a woman can truly flourish and become even more feminine the higher up the ranks she goes.

But none the less, you need to respect your superiors even if they are women. Try to be the best nurse that ever was and you will succeed. A lot of nurses, especially the older ones also take into their care the young male nurses as their faux family relations/ grandsons, try to get an elder female to become your "gramma" she´ll stick by you when the other females gang up against you. Trust me, they will gang up against you as they all love drama...

Well they can't admit to sexual discrimination. I'd transfer, make friends with their bosses, or file a lawsuit if you have that kind of fortitude.

Women bosses don't treat their workers like workers. They evaluate them on attractiveness. General RP behavior should get you a better standing with them just don't introduce it too fast or you might meet resistance.
