So, I think this is happening because of a history of my reactions to certain things. When a man appears who I deem to be better than me, or, the people around me place greater importance on them, I shrink away a bit. I know this is bad. I also don't have the largest social circle. Most of my friends are 30 min. away, i go to school, play on a hockey team, make music, and have been working with my dad some. Never was close to him so it's a priority. So, she's been shit testing me by throwing out "You're so predictable". It's happened twice, both instance being somewhat joking, but you know how that goes. First time I took it serious, said "in regards to what?" Bad, I know. she says she's joking. Second time I said it in unison with her, laughing, so as to highlight who is really predictable.

Worrying about what others think is detrimental. All of which is true, but i still do struggle with it. Didn't say so.
