A few weeks ago I asked a girl out that I went to school with (college). I was awkward, it was terrible, and I'm not really sure why I fucked up the entire interaction but I did. Regardless, she initially said yes, and then proceeded a few days later to say not right now. I asked her if she thought we'd ever hang out, she said I don't know.

After that, I stopped talking to her. I still saw her in class, and was cordial but I didn't attempt to talk to her, or act interested and moved on to other things, during this time I also made significant noticeable gains in the gym after a few weeks of trying so I've been riding a high from that.

Just yesterday, I'm walking in the Student Union, and she was there, and she spoke to me first, and asked if I knew how to play chess [she is an unabashed nerd so this part is not shocking about learning chess]. I said yea, I play all the time and she wanted to know if I would teach her. I responded if only you were serious about learning it.

I was also wearing glasses for the first time ever, that she has seen anyway, and she complimented me on them. Then today she complimented me on how I could be so intelligent but yet not socially awkward like all the other guys (Preface this is a science class). How do you even respond to something like that? I just it was pretty easy. Cause it was lol.

Regardless, she hasn't set up any type of interaction, she hasn't done anything of that nature, but she has become significantly more willing to speak to me compared to a month ago.

Right now, I don't know what to do. Should I schedule a date with her? Is this some sort of friend-zone bullshit she is trying to pull? Is it even worth my time?
